Serious Balance Issues with Russian Vehicles in War Thunder

Well thats basically only important for the nasty first spawn dumb missile tactic which is high risk high reward. one aa or capable light tank that knows its shit and boom 200 sp down the drain with nothing achieved. if it works, nasty af. Playing ground RB racking up more than 10 kills while never touching the ground.
But for that tactic considering nato helis just dont have the loadouts with the amount of dumb fire rockets ru helis have and cant pen eastern block mbts (or other nato mbts) that easily it doesnt matter for them also. It’s just not a viable tactic for normal players in NATO helis (unless you’re Bruce Leeroy)

But yeah, for russian helis the survivability sometimes is bs. didn’t know they still dont have the detailed models. But also i had the same or similar occurence with tiger helis at some point (most probably before dmg model changes) that even with completely shot off tail (at least visually for me) he was able to control it seemingly unaffected and gun me in a light tank.

So i guess it’s mainly due to the russian helis still not having detailed models.
But as for the guided missile gameplay there’s quite a lot of helis from other nations that are stronger (or at least on par) with the russian ones.

And you think flying boats can dodge those missiles as easily as UFOs ?

oh no wait…the can’t fire when taking bit of damage to the hull was for the ones WITHOUT the more detailed models as i had that when trying to spade some 9.0 helis in shitty heli pve. man it really is a pain in the ass there i can tell you. now i’m confused, do the KA50s have it atm or not?

What you mean detailed model? Is that one bullet can turn off alll your weapons and targeting pod? Ka52 has it. Dunno about ka50

yeah the one where they improved the heli models by adding electronic equipment and stuff. But afaik it was handled in a way that for the helis that didn’t yet get it a certain amount of damage to the hull would turn off the usage of guns and ordinance. which sometimes was one mg round. so the ones without the models should be (or at least were) way more affected by damage to the hull. Although damage (im assuming you’re speaking of an apfsds into the heli) could potentially not affect a high detail heli at all by hitting the wrong modules i guess

But they do have detailed models its just the damage doesnt effect them like nato helis and that is some russian bias type shit

well they sure implode beautifully with a sam somewhat close (best is above) the heli. but i’ll need to do some testing once im back home i guess

This reminds me a week or 2 ago me and someone else got a combined total of 15 kills with cas only and another 10 with ground vics. My friend was using a EF-2000 and me using my A-129D. we lost (mostly due to US mains leaving after 1-2 deaths) we were fighting a Germany, Sweden and USSR team

Are you serious… SU’s have great manoeuvre but it doesn’t matter because nothing can hit them anyway… Wow UFO’s that have to get close enough to do anything doesn’t mean shit because they actually have to get close and keep tracks on target. You can’t deny the KH missiles are stupidly unbalanced compared to what everyone else gets.

I can’t deny KHs are really strong, but it’s just a part of the vehicle as a whole so balancing solely on a single metric is foolish.

Speed is one of the most important factors to dodge the missile
The slower you are the highly chance missile able to hit you
you can notch all you like but if you are too slow missile going to hit you anyways or using multipath if to slow, you’ll get more splash damage
which mean the faster you are the better chance to notching or dodging incoming missile.

I know how to notch, because from your statement about subsonic, it sounds like you are talking nonsense. Go study what “notching” means bro.
