Serious Balance Issues with Russian Vehicles in War Thunder

Talking about dogfight then western FM are superior to what the soviet have ? R73 is barely a problem if you stop sucking and get good , if you want to just preflare. For all the praise R73 get it is heavily held back by the worst FM in the game from the soviet. If you merging with a su27/mig29 and die to that missile while having more CMs than your enemy then not even god can help you with this

Brub really pull that “nationality” when can’t talk back. Have to raise the R73 quality in a AMRAAM meta. Dying to a R73 against one of the worst FM in the game. Mentally ill at it peak and mam please, im not chinese or taiwanese

Maybe because in the game jets are still around late Cold War era / early modern era while tanks are the newest models ? America gets the best tank they have , so does Germany but Russia ?? Noo never !!!

So you wouldn’t even go full real controls during a normal game and euro can also cobra and aim9m just like the su27sm can cobra and r73

R73 and magic 2 have the same irccm btw so is France also broken ?

As shown from a recent post i made in R&R, i am very open to dogfighting/1v1s and even use them consistently for testing new FMs

@Surbaissemaxxing can you do something about this guy. He keep going off topic and just insult people when they don’t agree with him

No

Yes but so can many if not all other nations too. Since the map is only about 50×50km and the newer/better AGM65’s has about the range of that.

Not rly, only 6unguaranteed kills on a shit platform with a big chance of getting cassed without a chance of winning against a jet fighter.

The Ka-52 not anymore and that’s for all heli’s at toptier but only bc Russia has made a double blade heli is why it can still fly without a tail.

that’s all toptier helis

Airbattles? Pantsir-S1 is a ground battles vehicle…

all toptier rocket boosted(F&F) cas can be spawnlaunched(X-38MT, AGM65d/g/e. Edit: forgot to mention the new French stuff). Anyway the 95Я6 missile sucks quite alot against planes as it is very unstable and doesn’t pull hard at all, all a plane has to do is turn and SAM defeated. Yes the radar is good but it’s often buggy and doesn’t do what you want or need it to do.

No bc many Russian vehicles are also nerfed especially the jet fighters&AAMs and a bit of the Pantsir-S1’s SAM.

No, and is very much caused by skill issue as the blueside (ESPECIALLY usa) is paying their way to toptier. Whereas the other nation players is less and often is less biased to their nation making them focus more and perform better. Money can’t buy skill. ‘‘only’’ Time, courage and experience will do.

It can’t be fair when you put different things from IRL into a game.
There is no fun for all players in warthunder, we all suffer.
There is quite a bit of balance between USSR/usa.

You say that like these are things that went into service. Clearly the U.S. didn’t see any urgency to develop these things until nearly 2 decades later for a reason and they didn’t pick back up those old projects for their own reasons too.

Sep v2 is 2008 (when the contract was placed)

Crews started getting them by 2010, and by 2015 all combat teams were equipped. As a bit of context.

In production since 2005

Well, they were type classified (why it’s the “AIM-95”, not “XAIM-95”). About 300 (IIRC) production representative AIM-95 AUR’s were produced, during initial low rate production. What happened is that the option to enter full rate production was not selected, and so IOC was never achieved by any frontline units.

So depending on how broadly “entry to service” is defined, there may be some wiggle room. And it would be far less of a stretch then other ordnance, configurations and vehicles we find in game. (e.g. SRAAM as on the Harrier GR.1 / Hunter F.6, IRST, radar, ordnance, etc. on Yak 141).

Also it would have served as a more fair counterpart to the R-73 (in comparison to the AIM-9M), due to similar kinematics without needing IRCCM to be overhauled the way it was.

It also throws a quandary as to what happens in the intervening time between the AIM-9M (since they won’t fix the various bug reports that exist; #1, #2, #3)and AIM-9X Block I, as there is no other Missile available that improves kinematics above 30G without an imaging sensor and as such will not apear until that mechanic is implemented.
