Yeah… That wouldn’t surprise me. Even just on firepower the A1 is still better than many nations 12.0 shell
idk about that, for M1A1 middle of the road round and reload, pretty good mobility, but would have the worst survive ability by far with any top tier dart being able to pen pretty much anywhere along with abrams terrible post pen survive ability
and for IPM1 it only has mobility because its round would be bottom of the pack too so would be very bad there
It does have a 105mm so that’s not surprising.
But M1A1 Has better firepower than several 12.0s at the moment. 10.3s probably should not be facing it
Abrams does however have a much better transmission and chassis than the Leclerc, it’s way faster and snappier.
I was more commenting on them at 12.0 instead of just against leclercs
but even then, 5s autoloader is a pretty big advantage given most people dont have ace crews, along with the massive advantage in survive ability and very similar rounds
5.3 still does just fine, outreloads what you need it to, except for the odd Ariete/Leclerc ofc (Challies/Merks are on your team). Also, Leclerc isn’t very survivable tbh, in my experience any shot to the hull blows you up, while the Abrams atleast survives (albeit mostly crippled, sometimes you can shoot back with dead horizontal, sometimes your engine is gone so you can’t).
ehh, its kinda standard now, everything except leos and T series+ derivatives will match or do better
ive had the fuel tank eat spalling a few times but ive also been playing HSTVL by far the most recently for ground, and they are a pain to kill from the front in that so might be judging them a bit by that standard instead of full darts
I find its about 40-45% you get one shot, 50% of the time you lose drives and mobility, and maybe 5-10% of the time you can do anything about it
Ngl that’s 90% of what you face anyway.
Well HSTV-L dart is completely pitiful compared to main-calibre darts, so that’s definitely playing a part.
Next time I play the Abrams I might as well start documenting it, would be interesting.
thats true
its such a pain how badly gaijin modeled it
thats a good idea
while i agree the mig23 vs f14 was an unfair matchup the aim54 was not meta at all at the time and was even worse than it is today, the f14 days are a good example of why nation balance is important instead of using it as a justification for more unbalance in the future.
Also the 9ms got added when r73s were added so i don’t see the problem here
Because this was before 2 nations even got comparable airframes to the F16/m29 added 9 months before
challenger 2 black night 2018 year. in game.
challenger 3TD 2025 year. in game.
Absolutely not. The second-best MBT is the Leopard 2A7V.
The unskilled T-80BVM is in first place.
The Abrams has too many vulnerable spots. The entire cover, the gun mantlet, under the turret, the upper glacis plate, the lower glacis plate, etc. I watched replays and players don’t even aim at the Abrams; they just shoot in third-person.
Why do you think the Abrams shouldn’t have a 5-second reload? There are plenty of videos proving it. It’s even officially stated. But it would have been better if they’d given it 6 seconds and removed the turret basket and even the spall liner.
So you want to boost the battle rating of tanks with first-generation thermal imaging, the lowest win rate, and a kill dead? Do you hate the United States? :D
Is the MiG-23ML against the F4C Phantom and F-111A fair?
This is completely incorrect.
It’s at best the 2019 demonstrator but given the Cr3TD in game is weaker than the M1A1… This kinda proves age is completely irrelevant
Reload is a balancing decision and not based upon historical accuracy. There is a video of a challenger 2 reloading in 3 seconds. But we still only have 5.
Given the M1A2 and A2 shell has 100mm more pen than most nations top tier… Most of which have 5 seconds…6 seconds should be used to balance it.
Most nations are missing spall liners.
Turret basket is correct for the Abrams.
Yep. Because it has beter mobility and firepower than most 12.0s let alone 11.7s and facing things like the clickbait in a 10.7 constantly is just stupid
Is the F-4S Vs Tornado IDS fair?
Challenger 3 TD
Check Wikipedia or other sources. It says production starts in 2025.
The thing is, the US is fighting against powerful Soviets and Germans. And against them, the M456A2—you can’t even penetrate the side of a Soviet tank with that shell. As for Challengers, I see them so rarely in the game that I didn’t even know they weren’t armored. But Challengers will have a harder time against Soviet and German tanks than against Abrams tanks, which they can easily penetrate.
No, it’s not right, because the Abrams is a very weak tank in the game and this basket simply negates all its advantages.
Challenger 3 TD is the 2019 tech demonstrator with no armour, era, lws, aps, spall liners, blowout panels, etc etc
We do not have the latest challenger 3 prototype that is currently being tested.
And the M1A2 still outperforms all but the leopard 2s consistently.
What logic is that?
By the same logic the Challenger 2 should be 100% immune to being ammo racked because it’s a very weak tank and being able to be ammo racked negates it’s advantages
What is the US’s current win rate?
I don’t know anything about British tanks, they’re such a rare nation in the game that I probably have fewer than 10 Challenges to my name. I don’t even know a single player I know who plays for Britain.
Win rate is a terrible metric because the US is more popular, so they get a mix of good and bad players and a primary nation, so they can make up most of a team. Most minor nations usually join a primary nation and so their win rates can look really good despite having bad tanks
Let alone the fact that outside factors can have a greater impact. If you look at august 2025. M1A2 is actually doing quite well, much better than the BVM. Why? KH38MT finally got a counter in the form of the IRIST SLM if you look pre-June BVM is way higher
September has gone back the other way again, likely due to the new Mi28 but we’ll have to wait for October for clearer data
That is because they are unplayable currently…our TT currently ends at 10.7
And it’s entirely due to terrible modeling. CR2 should easily compete with M1A2 or Leopard 2A5/6 but barely competes with the M1A1 currently.
