Ahistorical matchmaking is nececarry to hold that promise up
The point is they failed on both counts, it’s horrificaly OP AND decades out of place. M-44 should be about 5.3/7, PZH and VIDAR should be 9.0/3, the rest scaled in between accordingly.
That would put them inline with both balance and, at least mostly, fighting things they actually fought.
No, it still has a nuke shell with better ballistics than any tank save the Centurions at it’s BR. Oh and a 5 sec reload.
It might shock you but some people in this game actually want some degree of realism in the game, like not fighting SPHs from the year 2000 in WW2 tanks, especially when there is zero reason for them to be there given their capabilities.
And other people want to play stuff with it’s realistic capabilities. removing IRL functions screws over BOTH for no reason.
1: It would be balanced because then skill would be involved in long range shot, and at short range well it’s a vehicle the size of the house without armor, free kill
2: Then play sim, the game is not meant to be realistic past the potrayal of tanks, the tank combat is extremly unrealistic not just about HOW it happens but how the mechanics are represented, they are many WW2 tank simulator you can play if you want

Yes and I disagree the balistic is what makes it over-powered, it’s not the only artillery with good balistic, like the AUF1 or bkan, which are 7.0 and 6.7 respectivly
And I told you the age of a tank is completly irrelevent on the realism part, the date of creation is just a number, should the IS5 be at a higher br than the IS3 because it has a bigger number too?

We seem to be missing each others point. Yes some stuff needs to be at lover BRs than historical match making would put it (Me-262s and Meteors would be lower than some Spitfires in that case) my point is why force already OP stuff to lower BRs when it (A) could go up as is to face things of it’s own era and be perfectly fine. and (B) has a bunch of missing features that can be added to make it even more powerful.
Yes, you could nerf the PZH fire rate and shell velocity and remove it’s LRF, etc. but then what’s even the point of adding it?

7.7 technologies are rather not advanced. So the 6.7 tanks are often pretty competitive.
Its not the 7.7 VS 8.7 situation where its obvious that stabs, APFSDS, protection or mobility that 8.7 has is too much for 7.7 to compete.
