Separation of tanks 6.7 from 7.7

So not even 1 then lols.

Look.at it this way. You talk about q times… the terminator was making long q times for ages as everyone was playing it . I seen plenty of players moaning the fact.

No rush to fix it when its making £££ … flip side BBVD or whatever hes called wouldnt do the 0.7+/- because of q times.

So which is it?

To me you are just repeating rhetoric and lies

1500 games in the vehicle discussed vs 1 death to a ZSU. You sure you want to make this a numbers game bro?

Also, good to know the Fox is not in the British tech tree. Thanks for enlightening me!

There’s this funny thing I keep saying which is called “companies exist to make money”. Not sure if you’ve noticed.

Disruption of queue times in one bracket for a few months in exchange for direct massive BMPT sales is obviously worth the trade off for them.

Altering the MM in every single bracket in the game without an equal corresponding financial incentive is clearly a less attractive proposition.

Seriously, do you even think about the stuff you write for more than two seconds?

“I could mildly inconvenience myself to make money hands over fists, OR I could greatly inconvenience myself without guarantee I’ll be making more money”, which one would you pick? In what world are these two things equivalent?

Maybe it’s the same world in which an open topped vehicle with an exposed gunner at 6.7 BR is “OP”, lmao.

Is there another AA that can smoke tiger 2 or just russian vic?

“Incredibly undertiered when it first arrived in the game”. I take that as it isn’t now undertiered. Hence why I said so none… if there was any I would of thought you would of said so.

"you can find undertiered vehicles in every tree "
GB tax lol

“Disruption of queue times in one bracket for a few months in exchange for direct massive BMPT sales is obviously worth the trade off for them”

So keeping one nation that makes more money more powerful moving vics up while leaving the worst culprits behind also makes sense.

I cant see how you can try to justify both ways. Maybe its you who needs to think…

Your math seems wrong.

5.7 (top) you draw from 5.7, 5.3 and 5.0.
Not sure why you would leave out 5.0 since that is 2 steps from 5.7

And the number of players you are drawing on will be the same. More players from 5.7 will be available since none of those are drawn up to 6.7 battles. Same for 5.0 … none of them will be fighting 4.0 players.

Making a small change (in client waiting) to my product that would make the client MUCH HAPPIER, is definitely a sound business decision.

Your big change in waiting times is illusion as the # in the pool stays the same.

This is one of the dumbest questions I’ve read in this forum, and god knows, it had competition. The most lethal SPAA in this BR range is the bloody Flakpanzer 341, a vehicle that can nuke IS-4s and T32E1s and M103s from the front in one hit, a German vehicle.

The Ostwind II can kill an M48 from the front by spamming its cupola with APHE.

The Gepard and its American counterpart have been terrorising their BR bracket for a long time.

A Kugelblitz can destroy a Centurion broadside.

The general deadliness of SPAAs alone would be enough to make your claim of Russian bias laughable, but it gets even worse for you - a lack of general game and vehicle knowledge. The ZSU in the game is an AA only in name. It doesn’t even have the spawn point cost of an AA! This is because it is terrible at engaging aircraft, but it’s a competent tank destroyer.

Already addressed here:

Not gonna repeat it, so you can re read it as many times as it takes for you to understand it.

The BMPT has been going up in BR. Not that it will fix it, since they need to alter its damage model. But once again, if you think this is only a Russian bias thing, you are simply uninformed. The T58 has exactly the same problem and it’s an American premium. Geez, it’s almost like some major nation premiums sell much better than minor nation premiums and are therefore undertiered for a while because companies exist to make money but sure, keep crying about the USSR and its terrible SPAA that scared you off an entire tree and BR bracket, bro.

Because your original comment posited a 0.3 matchmaker, so, one step.

1 BR matchmaker: 4.7 - 5.7

0.3 BR matchmaker: 5.3 - 5.7

Only if distribution of players across BR and nations is equal at all times. Which is never the case. This is much less problematic when you’re drawing from a bigger bracket and much more problematic when you’re drawing from a smaller bracket.

Who says the client is happier? You? Who says the queue time change would be small? You? Based on what market research? If you think you have better insight into their customers than they do, send them a CV and get hired.

You might want to read up into why MMO games place so much importance into zero second matchmakers before you do, though.

Brother, play at the “wrong” hours in the wrong areas of the game or with the wrong combination of nations in a squad, and queue times already lengthen significantly, leading to people switching BRs/nations/modes to bypass it. I see it literally every day I play. Spading low tier AIR RB in the European morning already results in 2+ minute queue times. The only illusion here is you telling yourself that a major MM change would have minor MM consequences.

which post was that? I said 2-step.
My first post to you was regarding your 2-step comment.

So your gonna base it on outliers?
Businesses don’t make big decisions that way.

You’re right, it’s the guy you were responding to that was suggesting 0.3 and you said it was too far.

It’s not a matter of outliers, but of “death spirals”.

Players are conditioned from single player games that you click on a button and you start playing. Even if you don’t get frustrated waiting for 1 or 2 minutes, many people do, and they start leaving queues.

When they leave queues, the queue times grow even longer. This means people which weren’t frustrated before get frustrated now, so they leave, and then… You get the idea.

Tampering with queue times is a big risk for an MMO and you don’t do it without an obvious payoff.

This kind of behaviour is also why players don’t distribute themselves evenly across different game modes, but concentrate themselves in a couple more popular modes while the others survive on meagre scraps.

Which is why the impact on queue time would likely be smaller than you suggest.

Or it might simply put off several players from playing the game. Especially those who only have a couple hours to play every now and then (the majority of the player base according to Gaijin).

It is simply not worth the risk.

Not what i asked. But it sounds great, shame I cant get it. I dont care about shooting planes. The m42 is pretty bad at shooting planes but good at killing tanks too. I wont be using any heavies that get penned in front by lets call it spray, Too slow with no benefit at this point- if you like em cool.

One minute trying to say the game is somehow balanced though and the next US and ruski bias OK to make money. Funny.

The flip side of this is a balanced game would surely be played more and more vics bought throughout? Or maybe the bias does = more £££

It’s a big game. So big that you couldn’t play it all if you wanted to. Some BRs are more balanced than others across different game modes. Periodically a busted premium will appear (usually from the Big Three) and it will stay undertiered for a while because it sells well, then people will stop buying it and it’ll get balanced properly. When you see it happen enough times you learn to simply avoid the affected areas for a while and go play something else.

Your claim was that this was Russian bias. It isn’t. It’s money bias.

People like feeling powerful and they like doing well. And those who don’t buy these premiums usually have other motivations to stick around and act as food. It’s scummy behaviour but it would be really simple to stop it, the behaviour of the customers would simply have to change. Good luck making that happen though.

One of the reasons why I enjoy the 6.7 / 7.7 areas so much it’s precisely the fact that it’s sufficiently old, mature and established that it’s very balanced.

Fair. I don’t mind if a premium is a little OP tbh- they shouldn’t just be better versions of tree vics at same BRs though.

Its the moving the rest and leaving RUS…
Spits and kfir for eg. OK case for them to be moved… but only if yak and flankers go too.
Germans low tier tho, moved with those win rates? m24 ? while the KV1 is left chilling- 2.7 isnt doing much outside of destroyer. Balancing doesnt make sense… smells alot like bias
