6.7 gets some of the easiest full uptiers in the entire game.
Usually a heavy tank fighting a heavy tank 1 whole BR above it is a death sentence. However, thanks to the power of the long '88, this is what you can do to a Somua at 500 metres:
Sure, they have other advantages. Mobility and reload speed above all. They should have those advantages, otherwise how could they be 1 whole BR above you?
Same thing goes for other nations. IS-6 can be pretty scary if it’s not facing you head-on. If it is, though…
Look, I’ve been playing German 6.7 at 7.0 - 8.0 for a long time now, and even in 8.0 lobbies you can decimate the enemy team. How many heavy tanks can say the same thing?
This is a nuke in an 8.0 match:
It includes two Somua kills, and sniping a Foch’s cupola to get the OHK thanks to APHE magic.
I personally have no problem as tiger 2 player like even at 7.7 br range u can easy kill all enemy opponent like only problem u can counter as tiger 2 is your own idiotic choice am i wrong ?
All I’m seeing from those screenshots is that you can kill these heavy tanks frontally. You just have to be careful about your positioning. You also have a much better reload than them.
I strongly recommend you take a look at the video I’ve posted and then come here and tell me that a Tiger II can’t fight in that BR bracket.
It is unfathomable to me how you can literally present a player with video evidence that something can indeed be done, and they will keep insisting that it simply cannot be done. There is constant externalisation going on. Very few players ever stop and think, maybe I need to reconsider my position and work on my own skills instead.
Regardless of if they can pen frontally, frontally engaging a heavy tank that is 1.0br above you is not exactly optimal.
Even in downtiers i run my heavies along flanks for the most part. Even with armor, i would rather not risk it. Plus makes taking out the enemy much easier.
Right, which is why I posted the video from the match as well. Positioning matters a lot in this game, but that wasn’t the point I was making.
My point is that, if the Tiger II player fucks up and ends up frontally facing a tank 1 whole BR above it, it can still win the engagement and kill the enemy. Not many heavy tanks can say the same thing. The gun is simply exceptional on the Tiger II and enables it to do things even in uptiers that would otherwise not be possible.
Everything else you say is correct, survivability onion, flank etc etc. But really the Tiger II is incredibly forgiving to play in uptiers, because the gun stays competitive.
And those are also found at or almost same br as the tiger 2 not a full br lower, there you have the 75 jumbo that each time that it faces a tiger 2 H is like a boss battle
Jumbo 75 sees the very same Tiger II in full uptiers…
Like I said. 6.7 has some of the easiest full uptiers of the whole game. They heavily decompressed this area in 2023 and it is a joy to play that BR. Though at some point they really need to take it away from some of the 5.7s, which are very oppressed by it.
I suggested something that would solve this issue, but Warthunder forumers didn’t care for it. It was a complete separation of rank 5 and 6, so if (hypothetically) a rank 5 was 7.7 and a rank 6 was 8.0, they would never face eachother.
