Seal clubbing removed

seal clubbing should be PERMANENTLY forbidden, its annoying to see lvl 100s that played for 5 years against lvl 3 players that are almost starting

Problems:

  1. What is seal clubbing in the first place?
  2. Is a player with hundreds/thousands of hours flying ASB sealclubbing by playing Ground AB or vice versa using reserve vehicles?
  3. Is rank 2 and rank 3 seal clubbing? If so, what are WW2 enthusiasts supposed to do?
  4. Player level is entirely non-indicative of skill. It is driven by research points gained AFTER premium vehicle bonus, boosters, premium account bonus, vehicle economy bonus and game mode-related contrivances affecting the conversion of time to research points.
Assuming exact same game mode, exact same performance except A has premium vehicle and premium account, you can have B with FOUR TIMES the play time with QUARTER of the progress A has made.
Just in personal experience, I have seen plenty of people who 100 or 200 hours less than me who have hit level 100 because they got premium and fly premium jets or even just the fact they fly jets in the first place.
My Bf109F4 earns RP at a 136% economic rate - in ASB, this means at most every 15 minutes I earn 2000 RP (2500 if I manage to land).
My F8U-2 earns RP at 226% economic rate - in ASB, this means 3323 (4155).
Now, if I go and play ARB -
Yak-3 is comparable in economy to BF109F4 and I have earned 8K RP in 15 minutes before.
F8U-2 has given me 12k RP in 15 minutes before.
Someone with premium acc and talisman would earn 4x that.
… Can you see how player level is divorced from player skill or time spent playing the game?

Fortunately, level 3 players quickly leave that level. So it isn’t really an issue.

With how Gaijin made the br system this will happen no matter what, i guess adding ranked mm could fix that but it never gonna happen. Gaijin also have no incentive to fix this either, the more low lvl struggle at lower tier, the more reason for them to buy high tier premium which in turn created the problem of lvl 10 at top tier.

good joke, here’s my importance to ur answer: nothing

when a high tier/high lvl player plays low tiers or against low lvl players to have a tactical advantage due to its knowledge, knowledge that none of the low lvl players have

technically, yes

“OH NO, IM NOT A SEAL CLUBBER, I JUST LIKE WW2 VEHICLES THAT WHY I PLAY WITH WW2 VEHICLES, LOL SKILL ISSUE”

It’s someone explicitly playing low BRs to do good. It doesn’t exist beyond 3.7, and playing 2.7 as a skill player in that mode is the limit on what couldn’t be considered seal clubbing.

If they are skilled and doing consistently too good, then they are seal clubbing.

Are you playing those BRs to do good, or two have fun? Does that fun include steamrolling opponents because of your skill level?

A level 10 player will almost always be less skilled than a level 50 player.

Someone playing an M4 isn’t sealclubbing, but any bushed up OP rank I tank is is.

…not really.

Gainig X hours worth of experience in one game mode does not neccesarily translate into experience in the other game mode.

To give example, Im lvl 100 player. I play mostly ground and air on the side. Tried to dip my toes into naval again because theres torpedo challenge. I played like 6 naval battles in total, ever. You can guess how well it went for me.

so what would be your solution to this? simply banning anyone with lvl 100 from playing WW2 tanks forever?

No, the usual answer is a “skill based matchmaker”. You get “performance indexed” into a player bracket. You can play any BR you want, but you are only going to face players in your skill bracket.

So because you’re a level 100 you can no longer;

  • Spade vehicles
  • Play with new friends
  • Play their favourite era (ww2 heck even ww1 now)

You offer no solutions, And topics exist.
