Sea Harrier FRS.1

worth getting for ground RB?

for CAP maybe but only unguided bomb + 9.7 airframe at that BR isn’t exactly good. If ur gonna GE it, might as well go for the Indian Jaguar, still kinda bad but at least it is way better at CAS

Indian Jaguar is 11.0 in GRB, this would up my 10.7 lineup to 11.0. I’m trying to complement my lineup with a CAS/CAP plane as not that advanced in the Air Tree and thought this would be an easier way to add (note I do have Germany up to the Mig-21mf, so not unfamiliar with the mess at this tiers :)… I do am up to the scimitar though and have the Buccanneer S1, but Bucc is a challenge to spade unfortunately.

My bad i misremembering the Indian jag for the normal tt one but imo the only viable CAS option Brits got at that br are the tt Jag or the Bucc S2B.
Jag is supersonic, have more CMs, not a boat only have 9Gs tho
Bucc is subsonic, is a boat, pave spike pod suck, get Martel which is FnF and can out range any AA but are slow as balls, can bring 1 more guided bomb than the jag, can use 9Ls but u have to trade bomb hardpoint for it.

Overall the Jag is better at both CAP/CAS but if u really want a CAS vehicle, just get the G Lynx.

If you are after a fixed-wing CAS aircraft for 10.3 - 10.7 that you can GE to acquire then you are probably a bit out of luck. Britain is rather lacking in Premiums for that area and the ideal aircraft to use for CAS are located on the TT in the form of the Jaguar GR1A and Buc S2B.

Sea Harrier FRS1 is okay, with the ability to run up to 5x 1000lb, but you will struggle vs the IR SAMs that dominate that BRs SPAA, the harriers are having a major issue with being way too hot and flaring anything is a chore, if not outright impossible somtimes. Also being subsonic, they struggle with getting into and out of the fray quickly

I personally use the SHar as a CAP aircraft for that BR range, and generally try to stay away from the battlefield where I can.

If you are truly after a CAS aircraft, then you might be better off with the SQV Superhind or Premum G-Lynx helicopters instead of a fixed wing aircraft like the Sea Harrier FRS1 to GE and then just grind the FRS1 normally to use for a CAP
