So you’ve just admitted you have little to no battle awareness…
Well, that’s not the vehicle’s issue, is it?
BTW I so much defend this super-OP vehicle because I love to abuse it…
Oh, wait…
I just haven’t played it much, if you want I can improve these statistics soon ;)
And it’s a stock vehicle, without he or ap belt, you can write whatever you want xD
I want balance but if a vehicle is the same BR for years then we can presume it is balanced. The game is in serious trouble if that is not the case.No wonder the game always has the scaffolding up,always tinkering ,never feels finished or properly working.
Leave all the things like vehicles and maps alone if they are old and move on to the areas that really are broken.
I just don’t believe we should be punished for owning good vehicles.I use the 252/21 to break CAS dominance instead of whining about CAS as I once did.You can keep your CAS and we will keep our SPAA.
if you think you will get an free meal from us all in GRB you are mistaken. That is the correct attitude to take as far as I can see.If more people had it we would not need CAS to be nerfed to death.
“Leave all the things like vehicles and maps alone if they are old and move on to the areas that really are broken.”
Not anymore, if the BR of M26 or other vechicles were destroyed, now they have to repair it.
It just creates a chain reaction or means something is put out elsewhere.
Look at the DCA. Got moved so badly that it became useless for fast props and left a big gap for France that the DCA was intended to fill in the first place.Like one dev trod all over another devs work. And the maps…Why?
3 years of playing and they were the same mostly. What was so bad that they lasted 3 years before being destroyed?
Most vehicles in this game get BR raises because they become popular but it does not make the gun better or the armour thicker.
Look at the British Comet.Fine at 5.3 for years, then for some reason people used it a bit and it got moved to 5.7.Same vehicle, nothing about it changed.
So everybody stopped using it as it fitted no line up and guess what? they had to drop it back to 5.3.Pathetic,Pointless and that sums War Thunder up.
Suggestion of mindlessly uptiering does make me a little angry, not rage like on the forum but overall.Things like the Fox ,OK that needs to find it’s place ,it’s new but old stuff? Why?
True, same with T-34-85 D5T from 5.3 to 5.0 and back to 5.3. But M26 should go back to 6.3, there are many better vehicles on 6.7.
In general, they should focus on sending higher vehicles that have HEAT shells, not normal tanks.
The same with howitzers, such as 2S1, 2S3M, M109 and others will cope with higher BRs.
It’s also funny that vehicles from the 1960s are on WW2 era.
They actually did massively nerf the APDS and the reload rate of the Comet.
Well, like the Comet, there were buffs and nerfs between those changes. Originally was 5.3 with the same turret armor as the 5.7 T-34-85, which was then nerfed to 53 mm all around, leading to the decrease. Then they reworked the visual model and armor model, which made the turret armor over 100 mm effective at the front. And so it went back to 5.3.
I think the reload rate nerf came before but if I recall right the APDS nerf showed up with the APDS changes when it was 5.7. In general the Comet’s APDS was easily the most nerfed APDS out of all of them. Mostly because it was overperforming massively before the APDS changes with the new calculator.
I guess this is the same bullet as on the Centurions? Generally speaking, this is probably historically correct because the Comet probably had a shortened barrel, so it has a little less penetration.
I noticed these changes, the same in the T-50 whose armor was changed and reduced, but it seems that when I look at the game now, this d5t has better turret armor than the zis version, 120-300mm XD
The 77 mm of the Comet (actually a 76.2 mm cannon) fires the exact same rounds as a 17 pounder. The difference is that the 77 mm uses casings that are far shorter and less powerful.
Previously, the 77 mm APDS was only slightly weaker than the 17 pounder’s APDS round, 220 mm vs 228 mm of 0 degree pen at 10 meters (keep in mind, early APDS rounds had far better slope modifiers back then). This is despite the fact there’s a nearly 200 m/s difference in muzzle velocity between these two rounds.
Dude, without radar and just firing a gun into the sky, its not easy to hit a plane. You’re either stalling out or flying in a straight or predictable path. Cope n seethe, brother. Cope n seethe.
Not easy to hit ww2 planes? How do all these spaas get kills in battles? XD
Come on, don’t talk nonsense, it’s possible, especially since you’re kind of forced to fly over a fairly small battlefield in ground battles, in the sense that you have to fly through this battlefield anyway.
Unless you like to fly and do nothing, or just fight planes.
These are not jets that fly across the battlefield in a fraction of a second.
Brother. It’s nearly impossible to directly hit a plane thats maneuvering unpredictably unless you have a goddamn flak cannon. What are you even talking about?
Have you seen how fast it kills on any hit from the HE belt? This is material for a higher br, similar situation to Ostwind, which for some reason they lowered.
