I am incredibly dissapointed with the WT player base. Im positive in K/D with this pile of junk.
really bad winrate as far as my CVR vehicles go too. if im not doing high 50%s in them thats a really bad sign. I have a better winrates in the striker of all trashboxes
Well, i guess i will hang on to the coupon for a while. This damn market crashed even after the apfsds was added…This is what happens when Gaijin pushes out half-baked product.
It was expected to be ridiculously expensive (in fact, I considered not participating in the event and buying it, for the sake of my sanity).
On very large maps, with some kind of restriction to prevent 15 out of 16 players from having a MBT, it could be an interesting tank, effectively killing other IFVs.
It should also be noted that this tank is missing quite a few things, such as the fragmentation layer, the functioning slat armor, the second-generation thermal imager for the driver (or first-generation, but the driver surely has a thermal imager) and the third-generation thermal imager for the gunner, the ability to reach its speed limit of 80km/h, and the lack of modeling of the composite armor on the front of the turret.
uhm actually there’s literally no way to know if the scimitar mk.2 actually had gen 2 thermals
marketing lie
no evidence for this
just trying to pre-empt gaijin’s responses :D
I mean the problem is that it really doesn’t fit in anywhere, like the Warrior doesn’t have the dart (APDS still performs well enough) but it’s more mobile with better thermals and an ATGM for tougher targets at the same BR, you can bring the Fox if you want to rat around, and if you plan to sit sniping from a ridge then there are MBTs with LRFs and much better rounds that you can take
You’re right that it’s a vehicle that doesn’t “fit in anywhere,” but the problem is that, given how the developers are making the game and how they’re leaving the maps, this is exactly what happens to many vehicles in the game. You simply have dozens of vehicles in the same battle royale, and if you use more than half of them, you’re at a disadvantage compared to what the enemy can produce. That’s why you often see teams spamming the same tank; people are looking for the tank that performs to their advantage. Personally, I like to play all the tanks, whether they’re better or worse. What is clear, though, is that some tanks don’t perform well, and that’s because, aside from not having the best specs, the game itself and its extremely small maps accentuate those limitations, causing these vehicles to behave in strange ways that are rarely seen in matches.
If all the Scimitar Mk2’s problems were fixed, it would improve somewhat, and if they added large maps where its gun’s accuracy could be exploited compared to other IFVs, it would be even better. Even though there are hundreds of vehicles with better performance, at least you could exploit its advantages if you decide to use it in a match.
I also mentioned in another post that reconnaissance vehicles should have a more important role, giving certain vehicles (like the Scimitar Mk2) a significantly higher Battle Rating (BR), but also providing more rewards for detection, considerably more per enemy killed by you, and drone detections should also grant a certain amount of reward (of course, better than detecting with binoculars). This would create a high-level branch of vehicles that would primarily serve for reconnaissance and combat against other light vehicles, and with some luck, destroy MBTs from the side or rear.
