Yeah, the steering of vehicles is a god damned joke in WT
Its really bad on scimitar tho, its gearing is broken so it cant even get to its real speeds and you lose what you have in every turn. it should be handling like the VFM5 does
Well, it’s kinda controversial that it has the same BR as the FOX, who is clearly better.
Having both at the same BR makes grinding the Scimitar or spading it even less appealing, since the FOX is simply an upgrade.
Haven’t played it but I imagine the Eland 90 to be quite bad at 7.7 as well.
Can’t let the brits have good mobility i guess
It’s actually pretty good, being small and fast you can quickly reach key areas of the map and kill a lot from there, its only problem would be the usual, the HEAT-FS and its horrible damage, which is what makes many surprise attacks end in your death.
Same as the AML-90, it’s funny as hell
the Eland is fine for 7.7 as its HEAT shell is brilliant on such a small platform. The scimitar is too slow and twitchy to make use of its gun. 7.0 may be a good spot as its going to have the speed edge over others while also being kneecapped by the armour meta of the BR
After more than 100 games with it I can say that it is a somewhat mediocre tank for its Br. When you see it you think that it is like a complement to the FOX, you think that it will be more stable and with better mobility on soft terrain compared to the FOX and its great speed, but it turns out not to be. The gun swings the same or more than the FOX. It is less fast on all terrains. When turning on itself it is extremely agile. When making small turns the tank wobbles, needing to correct the direction to go straight, with which it loses a lot of speed.
In short, it is like putting a version much worse than the FOX, in the same Br as the FOX.
I won’t say much about the barrel, since it’s not that great. In both cases the barrel is quite inaccurate and has excessive recoil, when in reality the barrel has a long travel to minimize recoil, which, added to the low rate of fire, makes it an extremely accurate barrel in continuous fire.
the british MBTs would benefit massively from it tbh especially at higher BRs.
another reason i stopped with the Type 90s man, the type 10 is quick but its cornering is wild.
I liked their responsive turning but their speed bleed doing that is crazy as well.
Its ok…but no more than ok. Its while it has the same firepower as the Fox its not as mobile as the Fox. That being said if you get it onto the fank it will do the lords work :)
While I do think though that it should “get off the line” a bit quicker than it currently does this doesn’t mean its not a 7.7 light tank. The Scimitar is fine where it is.
Doesnt it have the same gun as the fox? I have no issues penning the sides of stuff in that, so dont see why the scimitar would be an issue?
Ironically it’d probably be worse at 6.0 because instead of fighting lots of MBTs with no side armour you are fighting lots of tigers, ISs and stuff which have lots more side armour making it harder to flank and pen
This has to be a joke.
Although I agree, the Fox should be at 8.0
TBH, it will be better for fox i think, now at downtier you face tigers 2, is6, is4, its much more fun at uptier, and looking at those poor turm 3 players who are surprised and leaving after one death.
Most autocannon only vehicles are very poor and are there only for the challenge and fun of it or just a last ditch spawn really, the Scimitar and the Fox actually have pretty good ammo for being autocannon only, if you know where to shoot and when to use the aphe you can kill anyone with 1 to 3 shots to the side.
But seeing how gaijin said there is going to be an autocannon nerf especially to the british 30mm they are going to become pretty unplayable soon, with that rof and the pen going down to 80ish mm they wont even be useful at 5.7, they might go down to as low as 4.7 if Gaijin actually going to care about rebalancing them but they are probably just going to leave them to die like they did to many other vehicles.
Fox going up will be weaker due to lack of stab, most thing are going to react faster and shot accuracy also drastically improved, it may be offset by the greater number of lightly armoured vehicles but not having stab will always be the worst limitation the higher we go up, XM800T on the other hand is more uptier proof imo, I currently only use it at 9.0 and it’s almost always quicker than most things it face when you play peekaboo.
Yeah, that was a silly comparison. Falcon is a beast because it can just keep sending lead at fantastic rates of fire until the enemy is dispatched. It’s why the Falcon is a much better tank killer than the Warrior.
