Description: The SM-1019 is an Italian recon and light attack aircraft. In the sixties the Italian army required a new recon aircraft for replace the older models in service. Two company, Siai Marchetti and Aermacchi, decided to take part to the competition with two projects, one based on the O-1 and the other based on the AL-60. During the development the new aircraft proposed by SIAI Marchetti featuread a new engine, the Allison 250-B-14-D, a 3 blade propeller, upgraded sistem and better brakes for alnd in shorter runway. The first prototype flew for the first time in the 24 may 1969. The Italian army chosen the SM-1019 over the AEM-3 for the Aviazione Leggera dell’Esercito and an order of 80 units was placed. In the 1975 the aircraft started to enter in service for replace the old Cessna 19 and Piper 21. The SIAI selled 6 new made units to Somalia in 1981. After it’s withdrawn from the Italian army, various aircraft were buyed by various private all around the world.

Why it should be in the game. like other coin aircraft it could be implemented in the heli tt since it will have similar aircraft to low br helis and it will have a similar top speed.
