Yes, you are absolutely right, the R73 is no longer what it used to be. In several dogfights I’ve had at 600 to 1.8km, the R73 simply flares as if it were any other R60, even without the opponent pre-flaring. The missile is no longer what it used to be.
Let’s wait for the brilliant US players to appear to say that the missile is super powerful even without having touched a Soviet/Russian plane, I have enormous experience with them and I know what I’m talking about.

Not entirely true, at top tier for example both 27SM and 30SM are better than pretty much any 13.7 or 14.0 that usa has.
F-15E/C are superior, F-18C is superior.
no, 27SM is better than f18C late, 16C and 15C.
Su30 is better than all of those while also being better than 15E
lol Su-30SM is alright, but its Mirage 2000 levels of acceleration hold it back from being great.

The R-73 is very good. Don’t act like it’s some weak missile cause it’s really not. It does the job of a Fox 2, being a dogfight missile and it does that job very well
nuh uh. I’d choose the Hornet, Viper or Eagle over the Su-27SM any day of the week. Indeed the Su-30SM is better than those
I was talking mostly in terms of a2a loadout and avionics, in which the su30SM is better than all the aferomentioned planes.
But yea the Su30’s Flight model sometimes holds it back significantly compared to other planes
