What do you mean? It’s not really that advanced of an idea. If you’ve ever used noise canceling headphones it’s basically the same principle but on a more advanced level. Additionally you can detect the ping of a radar before that radar is able to detect the bounce back from your aircraft and then just avoid that area and/or avoid going into a range where they can detect you to begin with.

hope we see a gripen with full a2a loadout in the skies soon.
Most likely with 7 Fox-3s (Meteors, AMRAAMs or a mix) and 2 IR missiles (AIM-9 or IRIS-T) with the JAS-39E.
The widened fuselage gave it an additional 2 hardpoints along with the centerline pylon being wired to carry missiles 3 in the fuselage. Rest are on the wings.

Still bummed that Gaijin hasn’t implemented the additional weaponry on the centerline pylons for the 39C ingame even if it’s just ground munitions.
Also might as well post the Gripen E with all of its hardpoints loaded up for reference. Really hoping we can see this plane soon considering the Rafale and Eurofighters are currently in game.
Itll be gimped just like the Cs are with their pylons and made redundant more than likely by other vehicles in the same patch.

Centerline pylon on the 39A-D can only carry drop tanks or bombs. but yeah they should’ve added it by now.
Seeing the 39E in the game this soon would be a massive mistake. It’s entire edge is it’s advanced onboard systems, EW etc. Adding it without any of the neccesary systems in place will gimp it so hard, and we’ll most likely see any attempts of giving it it’s true capabilities forgotten like the 39A & C (incorrect radar, incorrect loadout etc).
The best we can hope for imo is Aim120C-5’s on the C for now, with any Gripen E addition comming alongside later Eurofighter & Rafael additions, with missiles like the Meteor & Iris-T, aswell as EW pods, decoys etc.
The NG would be far better as the NG would be an early E but without the ECM so slightly lighter and offering the same loadout of weapons and performance the E does.

The earlier Gripen variants have been known for very effective EW as well, for example Typhoon pilots stating that it is scary how close a Gripen will get to you before you can lock on to it due to the ECM. I very much doubt we will see EW for any amount of time so that will most likely be a non factor tbh.
Tbf Gripen C already being good at 13.7, I really like how nimble the aircraft compared to other. Eventhough BOL is completly handicapped, it’s still good at long range notch and chaffing.
With extra MAW, you could never go wrong with Gripen, since you’re also pretty slow compared to EFT that have higher radar return due to the Doppler Effect.

Gripen is a fun little jet, and honestly one of my favourites based purely on the flight model and how it feels. I honestly like the feel of the Gripens FM more than the EFT regardless of which one i’d pick in a dogfight.

Could add the NG with the AESA PS-05/A MK.5 even if it’s a little bit ahistorical which would really nicely stage the upgrades with NG offering something over the C in addition to weaponry, followed by the E with its new engine and revised control surfaces and hardpoints.
Also amusing to me that Gripen will have the most Meteors carried in-game purely due to the EFT consortium taking ages to diversify its loadouts. But honestly if that extra missile helps it stay balanced and capable at top tier, i’m happy to see it.
I think if we stsrt gimping aircraft again we end up just kike the current gripens. We dont need that, the NG adds a perfect aircraft for the current 14.3 selection will it be worthy of going tot to toe with the nect selection of aircraft whos to say, probably not since sweden seems to be a last minute thought as per usual for air
I think best way gaijin could make sweden semi unique would be to give ut every missile it can use, guve it 9X, IRIS-T, Meteor, ect ect (when we’re ready for those missiles) as sweden lacks uniqueness and variety
What makes the gripen e 100 kg heavier than the ng?
I’ve seen secondary sources list ng at 8 tons and e at 8.1 tons empty, is it literally just ew systems? Why doesn’t the ng have them?
NG was the tech demonstrator and featured all the improvements and difference to separate itself from the E
Its why we have NG’s that are Gripen C sized and then ones that are E sized. Its upgrade built upon upgrades. ECM was simply something planned for the production model
