No idea, it’s also sent as a suggestion so they don’t have to implement it at all if they don’t want to. It’s DEV’s decision. Especially since Gripen isn’t a specific version/upgrade but more like a “pick what you want to include for balance reasons” for the DEV’s.

It doesn’t have the function to fire them with the radar. Only the Gripen A does. Realistically the uograded RB 71A or B should be given to the JA37D/Di and the JAS39A.
The JAS39C simply just doesn’t have the ability to guide the RB71.
but they use the same radar, at least in game no? therefore it should be able to fire it
In game yes but irl the Gripen C lacks the CW illuminator that the A had which allows for the radar to guide RB71
I think technically the A version can’t fire them either, but the missiles were given to it for balance if i remember correctly.

See ive read that it was tested with them mounted but never fired but then ive also seen discussion that the early model had the radar modified to use them until the Gripen was ready to enter service properly. Again its a lot of back and fourth info which im not sure whats correct or incorrect
I think there was a plan to integrate them that was scrapped when the RB99 was purchased. It wouldn’t make any sense at all to have RB99 on the viggen but make an effort to put the older RB71 missile on the new Gripen.
Upgraded RB71 used on the JA37D, sweden doesn’t have any of their domestically made missiles

No, domestic modified version of the RB71. Jaden would know what the main change is.
Again id rather the RB73 over the upgraded RB71 unfortunately the RB73 would more than likely be too strong for the game rn
