Likely gaijin again only focusing on the C since they added the A too late so its been all but abandoned. Id bug report it if gaijin actually fixed any of the Gripens bug reports

They added gripen a when they add c for others and made swedish grind a whole new planes when everyone was slinging arh missiles on that poor gripen a with just aim9m
Yeah i know, i was there, gaijin wanted the older model Gripen A without HMD at the same BR as the SAAF gripen with its fictional loadout yet you only see people mention the swedes with fake loadouts…regardless its a moot point and talked about to death on this forum. Besides it got spread enough we even had a mod spread false information lol.
Im just waiting to see how gaijin screws up the Gripen E since they are definitely gonna skip the NG and add the E without its main strength being ECM…

For God sake let the gripen live
They probably will lol. They never once got the Gripens right and have yet to do any changes to them, no reason they’d start now, especially with how dead Sweden air is

And they nerfed gripen so many time now it does not have even that best dogfighter capabilities that it use to less missiles very bad air to ground bad radar and now not even the best dog fighter.
The A is still decent but the C is worthless lol

Why would anyone even grind swedish air and for what everyone got a gripen ? For what viggen even those got nerfed to death by gaijin there is nothing going for swedish and i understand that hate is for strv
Gripen c radar is not great in anyway specially when u face rafale and su30sm
I guess the Viggen? Idk its pretty meh imo, the Drakens were fun to fly years ago but i cant be bothered to fly them with how many All aspect slingers fly around now. Im gonna grab the F 35 but at 10.7 for ground its pretty DOA unfortunately but oh well.
Eh. Its better than the MLU 2 which is the best A2A sweden has. Id say its definitely better than my Su 27 radar. Maybe on par with my F15E been a while since i flew that, definitely better than EFT for sure

C is 500kg heavier and thus worse at dogfighting/notching since you bleed speed and turn a bit less than in the A.
To put it simple for top dualists in warthunder the C will never be chosen when the A exists and can catch the (nerfed) rafale if the fight is prolonged. The C simply cant keep up with the A in dogfights

For the gripen A since it’s op in sim ec
The A and C both have MS17 radar.
The C has access to MS20 avionics even though the SAAF one shouldn’t as they never had the money to upgrade to MS20 and are stuck at MS19.
Gripen A’s stopped at MS17 and Gripen C’s received upgrades going forward like MS18 19 and 20
Thats a pretty small crowd then, SIM is pretty neglected by gaijin due to low player counts unfortunately
