İ will always prefer having gun rather then flying while my d.ck is in my hand.
Missiles are still unreliable even today’s standart so having backup in your pocket is always much better then counting on one card.

Perhaps. I find i use it so rarely these days. Im not that bothered (at least in SB)
Usually the only thing I ever use the gun against are the Su-39.Su-25s that are immune to missiles
Well i dont know if you noticed but they added tracer belt to Swedish jets again.

Ironically, the aircraft i’ve had the best success gunfighting with in SB, is the Gr7 which has no tracers :D
Ah yes having tracers only shows me how shit those guns are once again, i know about the tracers since gaijin renoved them since the swedish had targeting computers to make up for the lack of tracers. 3 years later no computer but hey they gave us our tracers back.
İts a personal preference in the end so i can respect that, though having gun is always gives extra confidence.

Yeah agreed. But either way. Im not that worried about the FA2 not having guns (I kinda hate the 30mm ADENs anyway) and they are there if I ever find myself needing them. Can always run 1x Gunpod and 1x AMRAAM on the belly for a best of both worlds.
Gripen D I think would be niche but fine for an Event vehicle, maybe even Premium if it had something little extra to make up for the lack of Gun

I like the idea the enemy has no idea ive just fired at them, especially handy in SB if you miss.
Not having tracers didnt affect me cause i knew the spread from having tracers. Newer players didnt get that advantage and avoided the TT cause its rough playing the early jet BR’s. But hey gaijin made up some fake ammo belt with tracers instead of using the swedish belt which had tracers.

The reason the F4 had no gun is cause they though the missiles were good enough but they weren’t

I doubt we’ll ever see Gripen D. It was only made for training new pilots pretty much, the only difference between it and single seater gripen is that it’s 300kg heavier, and is lacking a gun.

Thats the beauty of using stealth belts, personally the reason why im using tracer belts on these days its because i like to let my enemy know that im targeting them, that way chances are they can make mistakes increase mostly :D
For a nation like Sweden which might have a limited pool of aircraft going forward. I can see it coming eventually as part of some barrel scraping

Possibly, likely many years in the future. We got the M2K-CS4 which was 1.0 BR below the top jet at the time, so I guess whenever 13.7 arrives we could see it… But by then Gripens will carry meteors and that kinda stuff so It would be higher than 12.7… Lack of gun could be excuse to keep it at lower BR though but yeah
The ammo belt gaijin made up is was called like M11180 which isnt the swedish way of naming their ammo or like anything lol so it was even easier to tell just how little they cared.
