These are press releases from “Gripen News” from 2006. The link to the story actually takes you to the Saab website but to recover the article requires Wayback Machine.
So Eungland’s claims are entirely fabricated.
1.Gripen was on the Blue side in Red Flag 2006.
2.No nations in attendance use Eurofighter at all.
3.F-22 did not attend a Red Flag until 2007.
The whole entire story about how well Gripen did at Red Flag 2006 is a complete fabrication made 15 years after it happened by a guy who left the Swedish Air Force 15 years before it happened. When Millenium 7 repeats the same claim and adds that only the F-22 scored better…he is repeating something that is made up and adding his own additional details.
Teething issues with the FBW, all rectified when BAe was brought on to refine the FBW. Its nothing new for aircraft to crash occasionally due to FBW failures. Theres several instances of other aircraft doing it.
I can’t share it, but I can describe it. The combat mode increases the temperature range in front of the turbine, as a result of which the mixing temperature in a two-contour engine increases. This means calculation of thrust. Also, due to better fuel combustion, efficiency increases slightly
Doesn’t remotely look like full afterburner from other videos you can see of the Gripen though?
Airshows never show the limits of what the plane can do…
That’s exactly what they do, both for safety and intel reasons. You guys can see he isn’t using full AB and you’re saying he is pushing the plane to limits. Blinded by your own vitriol.
We’ve reached a mythical level of copium that I didn’t think even Soviet players could achieve.
Yeah. See how that is completely different to your video? In the video you posted, the only time you see any kind of flames is when the camera is looking directly into the exhaust nozzle.
We’ve reached the level where the soviet-players are taking airshow clips as evidence for trying to nerf non-soviet planes. Amazing.
I wouldn’t call anyone stupid after attempting whatever it was you just did.
You realise there is a difference between afterburner levels, right? It’s isn’t an On/Off switch like how GJN models it. Hence why you stating it is full afterburner from a youtube video filmed on someone’s phone, makes you look exceptionally clever.
Seeing as the Russian-players now think video sources are OK, I wonder how many nerfs to soviet vehicles we can achieve with YouTube vids from a non-recent special military operation in a land far far away.
