So speaking of the 39F dont have a gun.
None of the 2 seated JAS39’s have a gun installed as the extra seat takes up the space for the 27mm Mauser.
They (the 2 seaters) are intended to be training platforms for the “operational version” so pilots gets to train on the actual platform I.E instead of having to fly the Saab 105 and then jumping into a Gripen. (from my understanding the “Wizzo” in the rear can give the pilot in the front different objectives etc on the fly as well)
Other than the gun they can carry the exact same munitions as their one seated counterpart. :)

The Gripen F also doesn’t come with a cannon. As shown in the picture, the space for the cannon is most likely taken up by the auxiliary air intake (under the main intake), but compared to the Gripen D, this design looks a bit better.
They just hid the intake(s) better on the F, it’s still there (it even has two).
