Seems like they’re not deployed till touchdown and the plane deploys the lift dumping mechanism on the canards, slats and elevons.

Got bored and loaded Xplane-12. Whoever modded the Gripen E did a very good job with the modeling, especially the flight modeling and FCS.
Now if only Gaijin did the same…

See, this is the issue, every time I load up the Gripen thread I need a change of pants
They cant model 3d, they cant model fm, they cant even properly model RWR bands.
Whole Gripen family is half baked at this rate.

This was also very cool to see I must say, amazing showing the history of top notch jets for their respective times! Almost shed a tear when I saw them doing laps over us.
I didn’t see that Draken deployed a chute to slow down on the day due to being away from the airifeld getting food :/

Looking likely we still aren’t getting RBS 15 or Exocet. In spite of the statements made last update’s dev period. Vaguely annoying. Especially with certain maritime strike opportunities making their way into the standard matchmaker from the looks.
