SAAB JAS 39E/F Gripen - General discussion

Yeah but this is to nerf a vehicle so it’s accepted instantly yet any sort of buff for Sweden can take months to years

I see, so there’s a function to hide it

You can technically ask the person but that’s about it tbh.

Additionally if gaijin asks you to send the full document you can just say no. I’ve done it before, you technically can fake a document that’s hard to come by pretty easily not saying that’s what’s happened here but in general you technically can

When making bug reports unless you put your info in the screenshots section all info on the report is hidden from everyone except staff

Which is a bit of a joke. If that person shouldn’t have had it, it shouldn’t have gone up to the issue tracker. All it does is obfuscate sources, under the most charitable circumstances. Assuming someone paid for access, it should still be obligated to direct others to where they can also acquire the information.

A proper report along gaijin’s guidelines would’ve likely contained a hyperlink to the source in the report description

I mean this is the same problem we had when the British mains started bug reporting the Gripen C without doing any sort of actual research on the vehicle they had and gave themselves fictional upgrades ZA didn’t buy essentially updating themselves from a block 5 to a block 20 in lamens terms

Not entirely you can just show a screenshot of a brochure

Proper reports don’t get actioned lol

Bug reporting people do not read long reports.

at least you can reverse image search that…

I don’t think that possible anymore since the whole AI debacle. Unsourced screenshots/photos are generally not accepted.

Not really lol, you can also meet mods who just accept without checking properly. As funny as it is to make gaijin seem like they have it out for NATO some mods are human and do just forget to check stuff

Or don’t care to.

I think it’s more of a security and anti-piracy measure. I think it’s pretty much required to hide things like that so that restricted/classified materials aren’t accessible to others before it’s detected and removed and if it’s public info and a whole copywrite source is attached the probably have to hide it due to anti piracy laws.

Also no it’s pretty easy, especially if the manual is very niche and isn’t available online. You just need to show the cover and then if they request the full doc you can just say no. It’s up to them to determine what to do from there.

I’ve thought about how easy it is to abuse the system and have wondered if any AI generated sources have been accepted this way. You’ll never catch me do something stupid like that because I enjoy tolerate this game and would rather continue to be an active member in the community

“forwarded to the devs” yup, see you in 10 years
