Gonna be real how often have you seen a mod or anyone in here? Pretty sure me pinging Smin also went nowhere, there are too busy with the EFT threads

:P
Gunjob’s about the only one that rocks up. Only other option is trying to convert @Necronomica into a tech mod, but I do not have the profane knowledge required for that.
Considering it also still has the “placeholder” two missile loadout image, I’m not too surprised nothing has been changed
Well according to other reports, only the technical ability to use it is needed, not visual proof, but you know gaijin, good ol double standards
Dust in the wind
A more recent dual rack report was made and has just straight up not been acknowledged, they are just ignoring it so they don’t have to add it
Realistically, we’ll probably only see proper bug fixes or the Gripen’s systems implemented correctly when Gaijin decides to work on the wing modifications and update the flight model.
The problem is that this doesn’t really make them money, and the Gripen isn’t exactly a hype aircraft compared to others. Because of that, it’s likely very low on their priority list. It could take a long time before the Gripen is in a decent and fully functional state, if it ever gets there at all.
Look at the state they left flankers and mig 29.
If it’s not a yank platform they can pretend the documentation allows to overperform, it will be abandoned until people fight adequately to fix it, or they can sell a premium. Coin comes from the yanks, so that’s where the efforts are. But doesn’t stop from making a fuss to try and get some level of competency from the devs.
Gripen was the first 4th gen that caused huge hype in this game when it was added.
There is no need to rework on wing span, early batch of JAS39E was built on C airframes so current version is actually accurate in this case.
It doesnt have huge problems in terms of flight model, only inaccuracy I can think of is the time to climb to certain altitudes and high altitude acceleration.
Its already decent but lacks couple features such as VWS and uptaded HMD.
Other problems such as MAW bein half broken, and having moderate inaccuracies on flight model isn’t a huge issue.
I don’t think this is correct. The airframes are so different that the Swedish government decided there were to few parts that could still be used from the C versions for it to be worth the extra work to deconstruct them to use those parts.
i would tend to agree that they aren’t huge. The one thing i think most players are thinking about is the new elevon design that all current E versions IRL have but didn’t have the first few years.
What I meant was early E models was based on C models in terms of size.
How do we know that this is an early version of E? Any official source saying it is? Anything other than the rumors or assumptions over here on the forums?
Do you have any concrete source that indicates this is late variant? Because actual serial production version of E is much bigger than initial variant of E model which first flew in 2017 and was based on C airframe.
You can even find articles about first JAS39E flight date which indicates Gaijin used initial variant instead of serial version.
Hell even Exterior Lenght and Wingspans has much higher values on actual product.
the tail number 6002 is a pre-production series prototype/test aircraft.
What do you mean? there is no size difference between “early” and “late” E versions.
No? where did you find this information?
Source : trust me
Or something
i think he’s talking about the extended wing
He wrote
and that’s not correct either.
ah, then he’s probably getting confused about gripen ng? I think that statement is technically true for that plane. Cause ngs could be technically all air frames from the c model to the extended wing e models.
