@Smin1080p_WT Could we get some clarification on this topic please? The same brochure that was denied for the JSOW was used to give the SAAF Gripen the R Darters. Feels like there may have been a breakdown in communication somewhere.

I was messing around in a custom air test drive with both IRIS-T SL variants along with the 9X Block II mounted on the Gripen E and the lack of flare rejection is very apparent. I would say there’s a marginal difference between the current implementation of IIR missiles and what we currently have in terms of CM resistance. They both pull much better however the guidance delay on the IRIS-T limits close range effectiveness. It’s much better past like 3.5km, ideally fired around 10km? I do recognize that the ground launched versions are not the same as what will come but it is interesting to see IIR guidance in A2A action. There’s definitely some funky guidance stuff going on (probably because it’s not supposed to be fired from the air lol) and I hope the upcoming IR missile buff will apply to these missiles.

That’s because there’s no standardisation, no proper set of rules for the suggestion mods to follow, or if there is, it’s not accessible to us so we can’t pull them up on it.

Found the image of the Gripen G but with bigger external tanks it looks like, and more round, different than the one we have in game
