Honestly I don’t understand it. The report was for a bomb clipping into a fuel tank. Or a dual rack clipping when you had a 2000lb mounted in the middle. It says NOTHING about a aim120…
Was nice to have some medium range missile when flying out with bomb load.

Could be clipping when launched also, either way you’d have to ask a tech mod or make a new bug report

This is pretty similar to the F15GE losing the missiles on one side due to clipping. Again we’ll probably needs to attempt a counter report and see if it sticks

Not really, your best option is probably to contact one of the Tech Mods and ask.

You can find all the teams and the areas they handle listed here: (Who is who and Reporting Procedure). If you don’t get an answer within a few days you can add more moderators from the list to the original message instead of sending a new message (that way you preserve the date of the message and it doesn’t look like a new request), adding one of the moderators to the message every 2-3 days or so until you get an answer.
Please do not to add the seniors until you have tried all other regular moderators, the Seniors likely won’t answer unless they are added and pinged by the regular moderators but if you’ve added all the regular moderators with no answer then you can add the seniors.

Really we’re loosing the center AMRAAM with other bomb loadouts?

That’s pretty miserable if it’s the case. Especially when we got rbs15 in the current state (Which I will report the altitude of at some point)
Not all of them, just the ones that were apparently clipping. You can still use like spice 250, GBU-39/B , 1000lb bombs, etc.

sounds to me like gaijin just “locked” the center pylon whenever you equip anything that clipped into the drop tank before
Seems like it yeah, but some loadouts are also restricting a center AIM-120 now.
Seems like they have actually gone through and checked combinations for a lot (if not all) of it.
Seems like anything that deploys fins post launch when it comes to AAM/GBU mix

As much as some might hate it, these limitations are perfectly reasonable on Gaijin’s part
Well at least the C-5 can be used in most situations as the fins are clipped.
Speaking of, do you think they’ll ever give us C-8 AMRAAMs (120D but for export)? Would be nice to have the GPS assisted guidance too…
the next new radar missile the gripen will get is more likely than not the Meteor

IIRC both AIM-120C-8 and 120Ds are from the F3R hardware program so they would be similar in the hardware department. Software department would be different though, with the 120D using the SIP T3 for the US and close allies, while the 120C-8 has a different software set for export usage.
I guess in the war thunder sense they’d be the same missiles.
Meh, would be nice to have the C-8 now and not be stuck with the C-5.
Would likely give gaijin a good enough reason to bump it to 14.7
