Russian top tier tanks need a fair buff

True, but I also have TURMS (got it way back when it was 9.7) and I think I am qualified enough to make educated guess in regard to some issues.

Nonetheless, the issue at hand is about size of a weakspots on russian tanks - and these dont change as far as i know between most of them (dunno if T-90M roof can be penned in similiar way as older variants, its been a while since i played that BR range).

What buff?

It still has the 0.45x KE structural steel trunnion, unlike others that have modern_cast_steel with 0.98x KE…

Of all the tanks you could’ve mentioned, a Leopard 2 isn’t one of them, as none of them have received a buff via trunnions…

Challenger 3 TD is a pretty sad vehicle.

It doesn’t have a 5s reload at all, which is why it’s arguably a downgrade from the regular Challenger 2. It also loses 200 horsepower relative to the Challenger 2E and loses all of the turret spall liners.
I also don’t recall it having blow out panels either.

So what you get is essentially a M1A2 if it had significantly worse mobility, worse firepower, same survivability, worse gun handling and worse armour all at the same BR.

im starting to think your just not very smart. the challenger 3td has the same reload time as the bvm ONLY if max crew while being slower with worse armour worse gun handling. the black night is debatable because statistically its worse in almost every way except the iron fist

You’re asking for a reload buff when you still enjoy this kind of protection and survivability that no other nation gets?

I’m fairly certain you hit the corpse and it nuked your round’s effectiveness, but you can check in slow-mo sensor view.

Yup can be one tapped by rounds as low as 3BM25 through the breach into the ammo rack.

Line of sight was clear, shot was clean. You can recreate this in the armor analysis and test drive in game with the same round (M829A1) against the T-80UD. You will see that the ERA just diminishes the effectiveness of the round so much that it hardly does any post-pen damage.

no this is a very common occurence with kontakt 5 (and relikt)

Based on actual use? It would appear not.

Doesn’t it get a 5secs reload like the Abrams with Ace crew?
And what worse firepower are u talking about? It’s DM53 vs. M829A2.

Says the one who believes russian tanks are good cuz he has a serious skill issue aiming for weakspots. Atp of the game u already faced enough things to know that everything has a weakspot and u should aim at it.

I was also logged out of the game when i said that so yeah, i didn’t check before talking, my bad.

It doesn’t, as has been pointed out twice by that point. (3 times if you count this reply)

Protection? Aiming issues, u shooted too low to hit the ammo.
Survivability? Only if u’re dumb and shoot to low not hitting the ammo.

Why do all players who complain about Russia being good share the same replays where the problem is them aiming too low or innacurately?

My bad i didn’t check.

  1. U shooted too low
  2. That’s how ERA works irl, it’s a cheap form of adding armor to a tank without making it 5029173737207 tons heavier and spending millions of dollars in expensive upgrades like NATO tanks.
They’re literally made to unstabilize the incoming APFSDS thx to the explosion, which drops it’s effectiveness to the floor making it almost useless and saving the crew from the impact.

i can aim for weakspots fine but it doesnt change the fact that russian tanks have way better armour than nato tanks

In that case u wouldn’t be complaining about russian tanks, but here u are.

Abrams with it’s +800mm turret cheeks and Leopard 2A7V with Composite Screens everywhere looking at this argument:

yeah bro composite screens vs relikt and the abrams fat a$$ turret neck
