Russian top tier tanks need a fair buff

T-90M2 has all that, plus a much better reverse gear :)))

T-90M2 NEXT TANK FR FR!
idc about the reload and ugly APFSDS, if it gets better reverse while tanking everything thx to Relikt it’s enough for me.

Top tier Russia doesn’t need a buff in terms of MBTs overall, except maybe some isolated ones moving down in BR (cough T-72B3A).

Hell I would go as far as to say that Russia shouldn’t get any improved MBTs as long as it doesn’t come with a serious nerf to Russian fixed wing CAS to compensate.

so in ur opinion they don’t need better MBTs cuz they already have good CAS?
in that case idk why NATO mains complain about russian tanks while having better MBTs instead of CAS.

they NEED their tanks buffed, and i’m talking about T-A-N-K-S, not CAS.

T-A-N-K-S

i still keep seeing people say NATO should get better CAS planes cuz AGM-65B and SPICE 250 is not enough, even when they have the best tanks ingame, and u want Russia to stay the same or even get worse just cuz their CAS is good?

most rank VII/VIII russian tanks should go down in BR, at least 0.3.

Outside the AESA-EFs/Israel/Sweden gang, the US and France are struggling on the CAS department with their IR ordnance (other than their AH-64Es which isn’t particuarly that effective either).

In general, subsonic ordnance already struggles significantly against SACLOS SPAAs, and will struggle even more now against Russia with the new Pantsir and the possibility of a mixed loadout of anti-drone missiles and AA-ones.

A compromise will have to be achieved if Russia is getting something near the triangle of Kh-38s/LMURs/buffed MBTs at the same time.

AGM-179 still needs to get it’s lofting fixed, and i heard Gaijin was going to add a new american ATGM which is pretty similar to the Kh-38MT.
AGM-84H/K, that one. i found it was used by F/A-18s and an american vessel (CG-19).

Source?

Outside of the FM, this is still true. The Su-27 is a better plane, but the F-15A is just OP at 12.7 because of how much better it is than every other 12.7 (including the undertiered IRCCM F-16s). I’ll also concede that the F-15A isn’t as good as I thought it was, but it’s in no way 12.7 worthy.

It’s ridiculous how people can defend that while also keeping the Mig-29s, Harriers, or almost every other 12.7 where they are.

It’s the best air tree, followed closely behind by Russia.

here are some photos of the AGM-84H/K in the F/A-18C and E

@_Renzo if this would get added then russian tanks could get their deserved buff?

How is it similar to kh38? 0.7M max speed is nowhere near to 2.2M

Yes. Russia is already the best in terms of fixed wing CAS, shared best in helis and soon to be the best in AAs at top tier.

This is only balanced out by their ground lineup being average at best.

So Russia should really only get significant buffs top tier MBT wise if either their fixed wing CAS is nerfed or if they release them together with the next “batch” of top tier MBTs (T-90M2 could release with the SEPv3, 2A8, Challenger 3 prototype etc).

A lot of complaints about Russian MBTs are also just based in frustration and/or skill issue.

The only high/top tier tanks that most of the complaining is justified imo is the TT BMPT.

T-80B, T-80UD, All T-80Us, T-80BVM, T-90A, T-72B3, T-72B3 arena and T-90M are all fine at their current BRs and don’t need to move down.

The main ones I think that do need it are the T-72B3A and maybe the 2 10.X T-72Bs.

Would fix stuff for 2 nations, now what for a lot of the other nations?

Gave it a little look. Its still quite subsonic (and therefore, easy to intercept). It may be similar to the X-38 on range, but the speed will still be its biggest drawback, it really shouldn’t change anything if compared to Mavericks.

The balance between AGMs went off the window the moment their speed became a factor on reaction time to them.

let me see if i can find something balanced that isn’t an american stick propelled by a Saturn V engine.

what about AGM-88G AARGM-ER? supersonic (Mach 2), 361kg, Anti-Radiation, 44in wingspan, 10in diameter, 13.8ft long.

used by F/A-18E Super Hornets, autonomous guidance.
the article says it will be compatible with future platforms like the Eurofighter, which means Germany, Great Britain and Italy could use it, Finland requested 150 of them for their air force (Sweden and it’s finnish F/A-18C MLU 2).
in that case there would be just a few nations lacking good CAS weaponry.

The issue is that unlike kh38s those missiles only target radars. And you can only use 4 of them, not 6.

usually the main targets of CAS planes when spawning are SPAAs, so it would be a good missile afterall.
however im pretty sure Gaijin will do it’s silly magic and make it somehow capable of targeting MBTs too like they did with Kh-38MT (which technically shouldn’t be able of locking targets over 7km).

still enough, or beg Gaijin to give them 6/8 instead of 4 like they “accidently” made with the LMURs of the Mi-28NM.

Not 7km but 1.5 actually.

Irl seeker’s thermal imaging is so bad it can’t even identify ground units until it gets in 1.5-2km while in game it has better zoom than most TGP’s and 3rd gen thermal imaging.

38MT is completely made on fantasy, nothing more.

doesn’t the SNIPER targeting pod have the best zoom ingame?
