Russian Teams Steamrolling NATO - Top Tier is Broken Again?

they also can automaticaly lead from longer ranges

this is also true when compared to AH1Z (which still doesnt get APDS despite using it IRL and Mi28 gets it when there are sources saying that it cant IRL)

more like can’t even hit sht stationary even as close as 1200meter aways but MI-28 gun able to hit stationary target up to 1600 no problem

ive been hit by Mi28 gun in a moving helicopter from 3-4km because that makes sense

Mi 28 and Russian 30mm helicopter cannons get access to APDS where as the Ah-64 uses an HEDP shell which will maybe crit an aircraft the APDS will penetrate the aircraft and in cases snipe the pilot.

What no way the US ever used APDS on a helicopter? How did they control the Sabot petals from hitting the heli??

Eurofighter is literally the best thing you can use to shoot any helicopter down, I don’t see the drawback from spawning it after killing a couple enemies : you also would be able to shoot down things like su-30 really easily by airspawncamping them.
Also I don’t get your fixation with “15 km” range on Lmur when the lock is at 10 or less for a tank sized target, but I assume you don’t have the vehicle and are just talking without any information at this point, at no point you will see a mi-28nm with lmur shooting you at 15/20 km, unless he’s using the point function and not “track”

most case when i fly NM i use HE it’s more effective against aircraft than APDS but still its gun is more accurate than Apache that spread like crazy and can’t hit sht even stationary one more than 1000m+

The missile has 15km range, yes most players are using it 10km problem is if that sams maximum range is 10km the missile is defeated by the time it reaches the Mi-28.
ADATS has a 12km range the missile becomes hard to control at 8km.
Stormer the same 8km maximum

As I have said numerous times the legacy SAM systems cannot outrange it (excluding the one on it’s team) and the ITO-90

Gaijin nerfed the Ah-64 gun pretty soon after it was added being able to reliably hit targets with great accuracy from 3km away was too strong.

Also every round should be a mini HEAT projectile but it is modelled as HE (or it was)

Oh, the thing i been doing since introduction of KH-38 mind tell me how the is that considering as balance? when the only way to stop something killing my teammate is spawn camping sure my Gripen K/D against air get skyrocket high but still it is the worse experience ever

ofc you don’t need to go that far anybody with brain can dodge saclos SAM even as close as 4-5KM unless its Terrible mistake has been made and with FnF and that DIRCM even easier.

I don’t have Apache when it still has great accuracy by as i remember by the time i got my hand on first Apache (AH MK1) its accuracy already sht.

The range to lock and track the target is 10 km, for anything that is tank sized, for this missile, and at any other distance, or smaller target you will see “point”, which is what you are referring to.
I don’t get why you’re still in denial, it literally won’t track you from any further than 10 km. Being hit from farther away means you are afk and not moving, the helicopter has to be at 10 km or less if you are a moving target, nominal range =/= effective tracking IR lock range.
Probably you should know how the weapon works before spreading misinformation.

10km then and how many SAMs that can intercept it have that range?
Not many so 10km - 12km - 15km it doesnt matter when the Mi-28 has a sphere of protection and can destroy not one but multiple SAMS with it’s single HE LMUR.

I get it feels good when you look at the score board and you have 1 kill in your BMP/BMD and a scout and now you have a Helicopter with 8 fire and forget missiles you fire them off maybe you die, maybe you dont and get 6 kills.

Now you have enough SP to spawn your favourite Kh-38 spewing Su-30! You use the missiles and get 4 kills and 1 with the bomb

Wow you are now top of the leader board with 12 kills your KD looks great and the enemy team is now being spawn camped to death.

You then come to the forum to vehemently defend these systems for how could anyone give up such power. You remonstrate they are not that “good” and it’s a skill issue.

Manually guided spaas like ito, flarak, and even adats are able to dispatch the helicopters when they are at 10/12 km.
Seems like someone here is just changing the goal post after being proven wrong.
No top tier manually guided spaa is bad against helicopters, this is called spreading misinformation.

Anybody have such power yet dare to say not good enough maybe problem is on them not vehicle don’t you think?

lol Only work if that heli pilot is so total ape that completely ignore MAWS LWS and RWR well maybe it does because most Russian heli pilot are like that right?

The helicopter can move it doesn’t need to stay hovering it can lock fire and hide.
8Km-10Km SAM will arrive 2-4 buisness days after that helicopter has returned into cover and likely die from a LMUR.

Just accept it’s so broken.

actually that is true.
AH’s 30mm gun doesnt lead right, depending on your speed and target speed and angle it will fire 1 or 2 aimretingle over or under. Quite easy to test it out on heli PVE or even test drive. But lets not hold breath that it would be fixed, like maximum shooting range of that gun either…

And they didn’t add it’s proximity fused ammunition for “some reason”…🤔

I did recently try in test fight with both MI-28NM vs Apache gun against stationary target (truck)
MI-28NM gun able to hit it up two kilometers in very short time
Apache barely hit that truck until it very close (less than 1000meter) even AH-1Z gun look better in comparison because it able to hit further than that in shorter times

I’ve had an Apache fail to kill a Pantsir after literal 100s of rounds fired within 800m the accuracy is so bad.

Meanwhile any 2A42 is a near guaranteed first round hit from 2km, and magically doesn’t become an un-aimable runaway after that…
