I think its a very subjective view, I dont often come to the forums but i admit the current lmur situation has me curious as to how the community is reacting. Overall imo there is no worst or best tech tree, just a techtree that better fits a certain players playstile. So yes for you the US techtree might be good or atleast not the worst, whilst for him a newer player who has little map knowledge / gamesense a tech tree such as the russian or german might be better since they have more forgiving vehicles.
To those complaining about the LMURS → Yes they are op rn but remember the tiger UHT when it was added it was equally as OP. Gaijin ended up nerfing it. Personally I have just been farming the hell out of most Mi-28 players with Ito and Rafale. Its rare you come upon a player that can use it smartly and not just immidiatly climb and spam lmurs (which often are intercepted by FnF aas)
BUK-M3 can be dodged (at range with some notching or hiding behind mountains etc) id say at about the same level of difficulty as the IRST when it first came out (changed the whole strat of keeping at 10k and just bleeding saclos missiles energy by maneuvering pre fnf aa’s).
Still overall a part of me wishes we had the old days back where the first manually guided missiles on planes actually required some skill (Nords, bulpups etc), no laser range finder(that adjusted the sight) etc, but I guess times have changed.
Yeah it’s personal preference, the LMUR’s are more likely
To one shot. But the problem is when hunting anti airs, most missiles are easy to intercept, and i don’t know if the anti airs are bad or if it’s a skill issue but i have been consistently killing buks and pantsirs with my ah64e.
Having 16 missiles just overwhelms the anti airs and they can’t really do anything abt it. And that is where i think the LMUR lacks, only having 8 of them isn’t always enough.
But to be honest i don’t know if i can have a say in this as i don’t have the mi28nm
its extremely easy to kill a buk , if u hover u are pretty much invisible to its missile(most of the time). buk will waste a few missiles to intercept the heli which simply ends up wasting its missile and u have 16 Jagm-MR vs 10 missiles on the buk. even if they manage to intercept 10 jagms with 10 missiles (which is also unlikely). u can easily kill them. all radar guided sams are weak atm. i have used the lmurs and its kinda easy to kill samp/t , sky sabre , CLAWs , (but in rare occasions they are able to hit me but its random). they need to fix/buff radar guided SAMs. its also easier to intercept 8x slower lmurs vs 16x jagm-mrs.
The same can be said when IRIS-T or Skysabre or SAMP-T cannot intercept these helicopters.
DIRCM combined with Gaijin not modelling the Doppler effect from helicopter rotors.
LMURs have a top attack profile and can do splash damage to multiple systems
i would say slm , claws has a higher chance of hitting helis with LDIRCM than the other helis. some times u can spam enough ir missiles and they just get through. its also easier to intercept 8x lmurs in slm , samp/t , sky sabre with 16 missiles vs intercepting 16x (slightly faster) jagm-mrs in buk m3 with 12 missiles. (even pantsir is limited to 12 missiles).
No i didn’t say that… I only said that the ah64e has 16 missiles making it easier, it usually takes 4-5 as the buk shoots down some of the first ones, and then u have missiles left over to fire on easier targets such as, pantsirs and 2s6 which are common in top tier.
The only reason I think this is because of some pretty gnarly pictures from a certain conflict of some vehicles surviving some extreme angle shots to side armor including stuff like Bradley
