Against a nigh-infinite amount of missiles at once
We really need a gamemode only for tanks with real maps a not these sh… maps
This is a perfect demonstration of what actually is the cause for Russian winrates.
CAS and SPAA.
Not tanks
Yet people insist on shilling the T-90M
A tank with terrible mobility, terrible firepower, meh armour (all the skill points went into the ufp), terrible internal layout etc resulting in its only strengths being cracked gun handling and strong ufp.
The only reason this tank is rated so high is because it’s Russian. Not because it’s actually good
I just find it a fair bit disingenuous when people start talking about how “russia is dead now” or how “USA dominates and russia is worst nation ingame”, not you specifically but in general in these threads, while disregarding the massive control russia has had over more than a year.
The addition of ARMs and abrams rework (that has been long overdue, same as leopard ive been waiting on for 3 years now) have been in this update the biggest factors that lead to USA doing very good.
I played russia this update (i do want the arena T90M) and i can tell you that the CAS is still as busted as it was before, vast majority of my ground games in russia even if losses are 10+ kills per game.
The biggest issue i notice that leads to this WR change is that most people on my team as russia (generally russian or german players) leave after 1-2 deaths while doing absolutely nothing.
Yeah, but people want to have their little Top Gun role plays in a mode where the majority of players cannot shoot back.
I think there are some actual issues with the spaced plates in the ERA blocks causing a volumetric black hole, but other wise I agree.
Again with the TERRIBLE T-90M myth.
My challenge still stands. Play the Ariete, Challenger - THEN come back and tell us all how the T-90M is so unplayable.
Give it a rest.
Volumetric is a universal issue.
The type 90/10s (can’t remember which).have a trolly spot on their front plate which can let them tank DM53 for example.
Same goes for fuel tanks
tbf i like it a lot more than BVM personally. Its just a different playstyle compared to when i play abrams or leopard or TKX.
The tank can definitely do really well.

i died cuz i ran out of ammo and wanted to HE an abrams lol
Another problem is the premium zombie horde; try playing BR 10.0 and 10.7 of Russia, it’s impossible to play. We should have controls on how to buy your way to the top.
It is objectively terrible
Bad reverse, horrible internal layout and terrible firepower (long ass reload with bad round).
I’m not grinding another nation to top tier anymore, grb is a terrible game mode to grind in (I do not plan on playing on someone else’s account either)
Preference is fine and dandy, just don’t confuse it with what’s objectively better.
Like in air rb, I prefer flying the F-2A over the Su-27S.
Even though the Su-27S is better, I dont enjoy flying it as much as the F-2
yes, it certainly is, but when a tank is coated in plates with a few mm separation it will be a far more common occurrence than the norm,
Yeah… the BMPTs ruined the game for Russia as much as everybody else…
The T90M is very good, but it has a specific playstyle that requires a certain level of skill to master; however, certain maps put it at a disadvantage, whereas the BVM is more versatile for newcomers thanks to its mobility.
? T-90M is worse than T-80 mainly due to the worse versatility.
There’s not much you can do with the tank compared to.Abrams/leopard/T-80 because the handicaps are much worse
I absolutely agree; even though it’s an amazing vehicle, it has ruined Russia’s win rate for months now. The horde of T-80Us is completely wrecking matches. You know what I find funny? Back during the December 2025 dev server, I repeatedly asked for the BMPT to be placed at 11.3 or 11.7 with APFSDS because I wanted to use it alongside the T-90M. But Gaijin did what they did, and it’s ruined matches for Russia for a while now it feels just like when the Leopard 2A4M came to Germany; it was impossible to play as Germany back then.
objectively sure but i personally completely and utterly disregard the notion that T90M is truly terrible to play and a bad tank.
I agree that in vacuum it is not a great tank. The russian specialty of horrible gun depression and slow reload are big negatives.
But warthunder is not a game where you can just look at a tank in vacuum. Theres a lot of things that atleast in my opinion make T90M a not a bad tank, just has to be played a bit more passive otherwise its effectively gambling on “can the other person aim”
The relikt is and has been overperforming as all hell for ages (dont even get me started on the canvas bags not disintegrating when hit with autocannon or heavy machinegun) and the 3BM60 while one of the weaker rounds (atleast its not the OFL 120 F1) is still more than capable of doing well. Sure its not as good as DM53 but its still a solid good round.
The added protection on T90M from side and front (especially the turret protection that stops you from dying when they hit above the breech like on BVM or T72s) along with spall liners and external fueltanks (without any bulkhead behind it ofc because that just has to be for abrams only) is atleast in my opinion enough to make it not a terrible tank to play.
Yeah, I hate how Gaijin tries to shoe horn vehicles into certain BRs, especially when they remove weapon systems to do it (although I have heard that the BMPT has an actual feed issue with APFSDS), but what they tried to do to the F-14D was a travesty, making it premium was bad, but the amount of weapon systems they where trying to remove to justify it was just plain obnoxious.
Yeah, T-90 is not horrible to play.
There’s very few vehicles that are in such a state (luchs for example)
There is still simply nothing it has to offer to truly elevate it to a great MBT.
Vacuum or not it will end up losing engagements due to the limitations I listed earlier or can’t even get shots off on target which X other vehicle can very easily.
The real issue with the T-90M comes down to how you use and position it; I always say that positioning is key with the T-90M, though some maps don’t even allow for that. The tank itself is good despite having an extremely long reload time that really ought to be faster and its mobility is solid, as it hits 60 km/h quickly. However, the problem is that if you position yourself poorly, you’ll pay a heavy price and end up back in the hangar; attack in the wrong spot, and it’s back to the hangar; try to retreat at the wrong moment, and well, you know back to the hangar.
It should never get apfsds.
This tactic has a 50/50 chance to work well.
The F-2A ADTW is a great example of it working well.
It’s one of my favorite vehicles to play and a great plane.
F-14D was uhh, an interesting set of decisions…
