Which is pretty much all because the BMPT/KH38MT/LMUR (and indirectly the SM-SV), not because of the T-series being that dominant.
One team has hypersonic misiles, the other one has (in the best situation) the mighty Iris-t (it can´t shoot down 3 kh-38, but ok) there is no bias in ba sing se.
Mango was given in couple hours and had nothing to with its performance.
By the time it recieved mango no one had stats on TURMS.
They have done balance changes hours after an update released in other cases.
So either they predicted that the TURMS would be poor (in which case they were correct) or early internal stats pointed in that direction.
During TURMS release armor and thermals was the main selling point of the tank, keep in mind it was introduced years ago to 9.7 where no vehicle had enough penetration to go through its hull/turret armor.
Most of the community complained that it was lacking firepower compare to other T-Series before the release and Gaijin decide to change their mind on last second.
It had to face tanks like the T-90A, Leopard 2A6 and Strv 122B PLSS which all released at 10.7 in the same update.
So they had to give it something.
The same update introduced the M1128 to ~9.0 with M900 and 2 Leo 1A5s to 9.0 with DM33.
So yes while the tanks that could effectively pen the T-72A hull armor were rare, but saying there were none at all is also not true.
They didn’t had to give anything, in full uptier situation you dont expect to survive against those tanks which is why mm system is stupid in the first place.
Both had basically no armor while 1A5 had worse thermals/lacking CITV and Stryker’s mobility was butchered due its cage and bad modelling.
So considering only two tanks that could penetrate you was quite acceptable on that time.
In a full uptier you still need to be able to pen some weakspots of the top BR tanks in your game.
The T-72AV was incredibly mid/mediocre on release and 3BM42 didn’t change much about that.
Those were only 2 tanks that were added in the same update, if I cared enough I could probably find a bunch more.
It could penetrate breach, driver ports, angled side armor and lfp which was more than enough for a tank that was sitting at full br low.
I believe it was decent but far from bein trash or op.
Please do so both of can be enlightened.
Let’s also not go into the absolute bloodbath that ensued when poor sods were regularly sucked up from 8.7 into 9.7 matches vs. T-72 TURMS. Many still reliant on HEAT and lacking any thermals at all (never mind G2 thermals which are a considerable advantage on most maps).
Challenger 1s with L23A1 could easily pen the UFP at closer ranges, the Ariete existed with DM33 at the same BR iirc, ZTZ96/96A both existed with 1985-I.
Those are some of the ones I could find with minimal research. However I have stuff (Su-30SM2) to spade so if conceding means I can get back to wanting to die inside I’ll just do that.
I agree, it’s mostly the op cas, spaa, and the bmpt. However, having some very heavily armored tanks to supplement that, does in fact make it even worse. Volumetric also does not help many nations except for Russia, so there’s that as well.
They could stop adding vehicles to Russia for 1-2 years, and they’d still be just fine.

@Hyperion16
He played too much Nuclear Thunder with AA seeing you through terrain
Not to mention that if T-72AV was a “problem”, why wasn’t the T-72A? Which could face weaker guns due to its lower BR.
There’s a reason I said “most”. Congrats on your little compilation, how long did it take to get all the footage from that? I could have my own compilation of solely Russian vehicles done in a day.
do it then, let’s see how many are you just having terrible aim
I just asked a buddy who had them all saved already. I then just uploaded it to yt. I can easily get more, infinitely more
