Armor matters only when combined with good/great mobility, good/great firepower or both. The 2A7s have great armor, great mobility and great firepower which makes it the best top tier tank.
The T-90M has great armor, mediocre firepower and bad mobility which just makes it nothing special.
It is equal to the leopard for a decent player, for a highly skilled player it is better.
Mediocre mobility of the T-90M means that I will always decide the conditions and locations of the brawl when fighting one in my M1A2.
The mediocre firepower of the T-90M means that I only need to bait out one shot for the T-90M to be dead in the water when fighting one in my Abrams.
This is what makes the T-90M a worse brawler than the M1A2s.

T-80 is actually a better brawler than the T-90 thanks to reload and mobility.
But it is forced to use the worse round for the good reload and still suffers from bad mobility.
The armour can’t make up for those downsides either

Seems like you didnt understand the example. Okay, Ill rephrase it to make it easier. Pro soccer player will perform worse if their legs are tied. And if they wear slippers instead of sneakers.
And then there is strv122/leo2a7 which has reverse speed, 6s reload (without having to use inferior shells), gun depression and even great armor. It has thing people praise ru mbts for. But doesnt have all those issues of ru mbts.

This literally happens to every helicopter, I even got DL+IOG by an AIM120ER as I was landing.
Nah clickbait is just sad can be penned from near enough anywhere and the turret basket kills it. That’s the difference with Russian tanks, penetrating shots that do not kill do not disable the tank.
I have duelled Russian tanks behind cover they are on fire but can still outshoot my empty ready rack because of the autoloader. Cannot be understated how much of an advantage that is in a prolonged fight.
Leopard 2A7V is just OP, it’s trolly and the shells ricochet 50% of the time when firing on the front on the “”“weak”“” spot

No, it’s actually not. It has decent tanks with artificial nerfs. That’s pretty much it. IRIS-T SLM is situationally awesome. But it’s completely overshadowed by the new Pantsir and hard countered by magic DIRCM. Turning it into fodder as soon as Russia or the US are on the other side and someone gets one of those Helis up in the air.
And their CAS is basically non existant. The Tiger is criminally overtiered, has no gun pod and zero DIRCM. Making it incredibly easy to shoot down. And PARS has a lofting value so low even if the Tiger actualy survives long enough to get some shots off it usually does nothing.
So what they do have is good tanks whom Gaijin keeps nerfing in various ways. And who with an ACED crew have reload rates Russian tanks get as stock.
I said top tier, that means 13.0
And those tanks are still better than what Russia has
So, what great CAS do they have? If you say the EF then I know you’re off your rocker. EF is good at fighting other planes. It is NOT good at fighting ground targets. It does not have FAF missiles or anything remotely approaching KH38MT. In fact they need to actually guide their armament in. Which can be intercepted by the new Pantsir while the EF itself becomes an easy target.
And the crying about the supposed “horrible Russian tanks” has gotten old and tired. Nobody but Russia mains buys it anymore. The available stats show Russian tanks are NOT suffering in any way shape or form, at least in War Thunder, now if things were remotely realistic…

It has SPICE 250s.
Brimstones are also good for overwhelming SACLOS SPAA in flybys as well as nuking LDIRCM Helis.
With the best CAS loadout you get 12 brimstones.
You can use that to completely overwhelm SACLOS AA in a supersonic flyby at close range.
You can also do the “James strat” and be directly above a pantsir very easily where it can’t see you or shoot at you
The vehicles with highest KS at rank 8 (tanks only, March 2026) are all NATO until #10 (SM-SV is inflated due to scout drone kills most likely) and T-80BVM at #13. T-90 is #29

An oversimplification, the only top tier T-series that have the same reload as an aced Leo 2 are the 11.7-12.0 T-80Us and the T-80BVM if it takes 3BM42 instead of 3BM60.
