Yak-9k with omgwtfbbq APHE, dropping tanks in the dozen every match, isn’t exactly 12.3 BR.
Its makes playing tanks impossible at low BRs up to early cold war stuff. Wounder if its even real, never heard any rl WW2 stories about this. Almost every BR bracket is somehow dominated by russia. Air, Ground, Naval.

yak-9k is also simply solved by bringing out a competent fighter/multirole plane, it’s not very good at A2A

Even so, that br range is littered with radar SPAA, a prop should not be doing well there unless the SPAA are blind, deaf and have their hands removed.
It’s far from consistent, you’re better off just using a bomb.
Any competent plane at 6.7 wouldn’t have issues taking out a yak-9k either

Sample size is important.
If you want to prove something (ESPECIALLY consistency), get a good sample size. This, definitely isn’t a good sample size.

You misunderstood me, I meant that I don’t see enough to make low tier “impossible to play due to how many there are”.
Yak-9k is annoying to encounter sure, but once you actually spawn proper counters it’s a non-issue. (Just like every CAS plane)

I lost so many Tigers and Panthers to Aphe oneshots from Yak-9k that I stopped playing. Add SPAA tanks to this as well. The worst part is also that Yak default belt contains APHE as well…with slightly reduced efficienty you can massacre tanks without raising spawn point costs. You can spawn this thing two times.
Unlike bombs…which arent as deadly as well.

With bombs you can one-tap multiple targets in one go with a larger damage radius.
That’s an issue regarding gaijin’s completely terrible sp system for aircraft, not exclusive the the yak-9k.
It used to be so much worse with separate spawn point pools for strike aircraft and fighters regardless of loadout.
That actually used to benefit the US more than anything
What I see at 6.0, is mainly german teams being rekt by Russia and their yak-9ks everywhere, every time.
It one shot every each of them vehicle, easily

People play the game, people play 6.0 against Russia, people know. It’s widely known that Yak-9k is completely op, it’s not a hot take than I’m just stating this very day.
A singular person stating something 10000 times doesn’t make it a cold take.
Funny, considering my experiences at 5.7-6.7 did not result in any issues with the yak-9k.
Especially not at 8.3-8.7.
I literally free aced the turm 3 within the timespan that the yak-9k has been at 5.0 in grb, I should know what that br range is like
You could check Thunderskill or Statshark. Last time I did it Yak-9k had ground frags per battle in RB of almost 3. Its considerably more than other capable strike fighters (like P-47 with 3 bombs and rockets etc etc).
