What he meant by “learn how the game works” is to get used to the game being poorly coded and actually being sht in terms of development

Never said it was realistic. When a bomb directly impacts an armor plate (in this case, the turret composite), the explosive penetration must be greater than the thickness of the plate it hit. That’s why it didn’t kill.
Another example:
There is video from K2 about how fake Shturmtiger pen is that shows Maus just taking FAB-3000 directly to the turret and living on (and that’s before bombs were nerfed). While Shturmtiger would just ignore anything compared to that with way worse filler.
38 cm had 83mm pen according to statcard at that time but it was lolpenning a Maus at shots where FAB-3000 with 183mm pen landed exactly at same spots would just barrel and track it.
For composites it’s worse because it feels like bombs just have zero chance of getting through

This is a symptom of gaijin’s bad implementation of large explosives and their effects on ground vehicles.
There should be (pretty sure there used to be) a guaranteed radius around the impact point of a large ish bomb or missile (100 pounds/50 kg ww2 era minimum) where any vehicle inside it is destroyed immediately by blast force simply overcoming the structure of the tank/vehicle, irrelevant of closest armor plate thickness.
I can’t remember if this was removed or just doesn’t work anymore. But it should be in the game. Even a 50kg bomb on the front plate of a Maus or T-90M will turn that plate into a bowl or a hole.
