Russian Teams Steamrolling NATO - Top Tier is Broken Again?

Can someone explain to me why the Kh-38MT needs to be in the game when LMUR exists now? I’m asking an honest question. What’s the reasoning behind having two overpowered missiles you can spawn back to back?

I keep hearing that Russia deserved it because they never had a “true” FnF missile. But with the advent of LMUR and the evidence we have that refutes the existence and false capabilities of Kh-38MT(E), what reason is there to keep it in the game? There has been a precedent for removing weaponry out of the game, for many reasons, and the way they represented Kh-38MT is completely false.

Full disclosure, I got ChatGPT to create this as I’m lazy

Helicopter Nation Air K/D Ground K/D
Mi-28NM Russia 1.29 4.16
AH Mk.1 Apache UK 0.97 2.43
Rooivalk Mk.1 South Africa 0.70 2.79
Lynx AH.Mk.1 UK 0.75 3.45
AH-60 Japan 1.00 3.36
Z-11WA China 0.09 2.56
T129 Italy 1.08 2.95
Mi-24V Russia 0.04 0.79
Mi-35M Russia 0.37 3.42
Ka-50 Russia 0.97 3.31
Mi-4AV Russia 0.02 0.95
AH-129D Italy 0.32 2.00

And by nation

Nation Average Air K/D Average Ground K/D
Russia 0.54 2.93
UK / South Africa 0.81 2.89
Italy 0.70 2.48
Japan 1.00 3.36
China 0.09 2.56

The nm is definitely an outlier, lol

perfect, something on topic!
Because the rest of russian equipment cant compete so they need something easy and super powerful to offset that. Otherwise a significant portion of the playerbase would have atrocious winrates at top tier.

AH60 is the israeli one btw. not japan.

It honestly makes no sense to allow it anymore, if Kh-38 was a stop-gap for LMUR then why keep it in the game? This missile was made to hit electrical sub-stations and probably ships out in the sea, basically really hot and contrasting targets,

We know this missile can’t even lock or see targets past 5 km, I’d be totally okay with it being in the game as long as it is represented accurately (basically Penguin level lock range for ground targets). Which I see no one try to talk about.

Yeah, it’s not perfect. I had a… spirited discussion with it about how the NM isn’t chinese. It then claimed someone used the wrong flag. It was basically gaslighting me.

The only thing I remember is the S-13DF and it wasn’t done for the sake of balance.

Don’t they remove grom or something, as it was terribly unbalanced in arb?

If it won’t be removed, will they be able to represent it accurately then? The missile stats and capabilities in game are completely made up and blown out of proportions.

It’s one thing that the missile barely, if at all exists irl, its a whole other that Gaijin took all existing sources and still decided to fabricate the missile’s performance in game, simply unbelievable

Isn’t it the only F&F weapon Russia gets with IOG?

IOG in a world where Brimstone MMw was deemed too OP for it’s abilities to track through smoke (effectively what IOG does under the right circumstances)

6 KH-38mts vs what brimstones?

6 in an ideal world, i’ve proposed a limit on FnF brimstones multiple times in the past

6 oneshots(with a chance of double/tripple kill on SPAA etc) + at least one with that umpk trash(with a chance of double/tripple kill on SPAA etc) vs maybe like 5, maybe 6 for brimstones.

Yea, but isn’t exactly news that Vikhrs were and still are the best manual guided heli weapons.

It was dev, not live server.

I have no idea. I would only be happy if kh38mt and hammer were annihilated by the implementation of their guidance. Although after the introduction of new spaa kh38mt were ± balanced.

That’s not the point, the seeker capabilities of the missile are completely and utterly false in game, how did they even address the problem of the seeker overheating while travelling at Mach 2?

The seeker sensitivity is way too low and the resolution would be abysmal based on the brochure, making the lock range be extremely limited, basically it would only lock anything at the terminal phase.

This missile was designed to hit stationary targets, basically electrical substations/factories and maybe targets out in the sea, hence why it has IOG. The IR capabilities are only there in case the missile found itself in a GPS denied area and needed more precision than GNSS or laser could provide in such scenario.

I’d be okay with the missile being in game if it was represented realistically, but LMUR has superseded it. The real Kh-38MT would not be able to lock tanks in the slightest, at least not well within 5 to 6 or so kilometers, why would this missile even be used to hit tanks in real life?

Pilots would not be able to see targets at the 70 km stand-off range, and nothing guarantees the mechanized targets will be there by the time the missile gets within IR lock.

That’s why I don’t think this missile would’ve seen any anti-tank use, the real ML missile is being used to hit hard targets like bridges and structures and I don’t doubt the MT would’ve seen similar use, except for hot targets like factories and electrical substations.

And it’s no wonder why the missile saw no commercial interest, when cheaper and more readily available alternatives exists, specially things like Geran drones, they don’t need an expensive plane and risking pilots lives to hit the same targets MT would’ve gone after.

There’s a lot of “this should only hit buildings” weapons in the game though.
