The thermal imager was installed only on the Ka-50Sh helicopter, and in our game we have a standard Ka-50

KA-50N and SH both had them.
But night fighting capability on the KA-50 in ground battles is abysmal.
You have only normal optics which is a massive disadvantage.
oh btw @luque13 is pretty much right about “NERA”/composite, I mean, the in-game Leo 2s are all still massively underperforming armor wise lol (the 2A7V alone is missing like 50% of its armor), and so does nearly everything else that uses “NERA”.
on the other hand we have T-series with armor that overperforms by ~25% :P

You know Russia have lost 1000s of T-72/T-80 variant tanks to a nation that is not only outnumbered in terms of tanks.
I just cannot see how anyone can think T series tanks are good after their consistently terrible combat records. We only have T-90 because the T-72s rep after Desert Storm was so poor they needed to be able to export T-72s again in an exciting new guise…
