Common myth in this forum.
Premium vehicles perform on par with their TT copies, suggesting whoever is playing them isn’t that worse than a regular TT player. Multiple highly popular premiums suggest this is true.
BMD-4M is good, but imo the Beglit is just better overall.
Obj.140 is really that good? I never bought it cuz I thought it looked like crap lol.

Excelsior is a nuke machine.
That thing is my highest KDr vehicle in the whole game now.
And it’s British.
I think its less of a myth and more of an oversimplification of the situation
it depends on the vehicle more often than not so blanketing statements arent really much use.
take something like a turm 3
Most players do horrendous in the thing but any semi decent player (the minority of the players of it) stomps everything with it, the average winrate is bloody awful but the K/D is 1.27 which is incredible if 62% of the time its losing matches.
then theres the SLA tiger 2 which is nearly the same as the TT tiger 2 but has better mobility.
Double the K/D of the TT peer and 8% better winrate. 80 more horsepower isnt doing that, it’s German premium players of it being a lot more sweaty than little timmys first nation to mid tier.
or the pzh200
looking at german stats its trash, then look at italy and its quickly apparrent that its an undertiered monster.
for russia, britain, italy the players are all pretty even, premium or not. For germany they get sweatlords in premiums amidst a tsunami of awful ones. then theres america where they all suck nowadays…
Im sure we will see the AS90 and GBT155 have unusual stat differences too (despite the fact that they should act near identical if gaijin fixes the reloads)
TLDR depends on who is playing it most the time
thats an event vehicle not a premium for sale
for the record yes its OP as hell after the engine buff. wish i had it
And how any of this confirms your initial statement I responded to ?
If premium players on average are trash then it’d definitely be seen in stats when comparing premium copies to TT ones.
I have an 72ish% winrate and 2.8 K/D in my Object 140 from when it was 8.3. After that I recommended it to one of my friends who also got similar stats in it.
The thing was so stupidly strong for 8.3.
Hella good, it goes downhill pretty quickly when I lose interest in playing it. Unlike DM23 the APHE still needs to aim for weakspot, as time goes by I slowly adjusted to flanking because there are things the APHE struggles to pen frontally. Most kills are shoved up the enemy ass so that’s that lol
How so? It doesnt look too good in the first place. Bad cannon, bad reload, bad mobility. Some armor, but germans still easilly pen, and weakspots exist.
Click bait
What about Click Bait ?
What do you mean dude?
@Caernarvon02 despises the KV-1E right, if you look at the Excelsior it is literally Better in every way, bar its lack of APHE.
Better armor frontally, on the sides of the turret it’s decent and can bounce stuff reliably, and the hull sides are just a shot trap.
Farrrrrr better forward mobility, and neutral steering.
Also… I’m not sure why, but it fires M61, and isn’t M61 APHE with 104mm pen? It is on US vehicles.
The gun it uses is basically the M3’s Breech used with the longer barrel. They used US made 75mm ammunition and the M61 shell was used with and without the filler. They probably omitted the filler for balance reasons tbh.
If it is for balance reasons, why is it better than a KV-1E, and lower Br?
It’s a 4.0, kv is a 4.3 now.
Gaijin Logic. Does the KV have more games/players using it?
Indeed the KV does.
That’s probably why. Not enough people play the Excelsior for Gaijin to notice and raise its BR. If it turned into a situation like the EBRs then it would 100% be sent to a higher BR.
if you look at the Excelsior it is literally Better in every way
well it certainly doesnt look like that to me. It has better frontal armor? but its just a simple box so it rarely bounces the german penetrative shots. It has 104mm pen but has solid shot AP with questiuonal ballistics and basically zero damage output, especially for angled targets. Its side armor is questionable at best, it doesnt let you angle so easilly and leaves a weakspot at the guide track. Idk. I wish to get the Excelcior to try it myself, but i just cant get around that
Rare event vehicles are weird in terms of statistics so I can’t blame them fromtaking a different approach to balancing them.
If they applied purely statistics based balancing the IS-7 would be moved up in no time.
