I cancelled the ground lock, and relocked the tank at ~8.1-7.9km
When that video was recorded, a ground lock justified the reticle to the side of the tank. Notice it is fully on the tank when the missile is fired
They were both ground locks. It was tank tracking locks that would put the reticle a bit to the side of the tank previously.
The Kh-29TD has always had the tracking range files as the Kh-29T. You can rollback the datamined files to around 2.29 when it was added, and it still has the same range values,
“rangeBand0”: 12000.0
Which is the base tracking range before the size of the target is considered. And for tanks, the locking range is roughly half the rangeBand0.
Its the same for the Kh-29T, and the Kh-29TE, “rangeBand0”: 12000.0.
Changes they did make between 2.29 and now, they added 2 lines
“useTrippleClickLockInTpv”: true
“applyExtraDifficultyParameters”: true
Probably related to the TV weapon control logic rework they did recently.
But the rest of the guidance subsection is unchanged since it was first added to the live server.

That’s a ECM pod, you can currently see it on the MiG-21SMT and a the German MiG-21s

Sadly there’s not really any true option for Su-30SM
the two MKs you posted as you already know is MKI and MKM so its unlikely we’ll see that
and the 3rd pic still has me confused, was a MoD review from 2020 if I recall correctly, don’t know why it mentions DAMOCLES…

There was a T-220 leak, which according to OP, the Su-35 and Mig-35 can carry.
Maybe it’s coming for the Su-30SM? I don’t know how much TGPs are compatible between flanker variants though.
So perhaps we’ll see MiG-29M 9.41/47, MiG-35 or Su-35 within the next few years
Su-30SM has never really been seen with a TGP, at expos or the sort so unless gaijin wants to do some rather questionable batshittery, SM won’t be getting T/220 at the very least

There’s also multiple sources stating the Su-30SM can carry Kh-29Ls and S-25Ls which shouldn’t be able to be guided if it didn’t have some sort of targeting pod because afaik the 30SM doesn’t possess any internal hardware to guide laser designated weapons
Also, does the T-220 have thermals? Quite curious as to what that pod is capable of.
