Tbh this and modeling edges of ERA to be weaker is prob not gonna happen because of balancing through selective realism.

But it would certainly let Gaijin let us know how they get their sources from to calculate those exact armor numbers, if we even get anti-era APFSDS then it wouldn’t matter because we’d eating Kontakt tanks for dinner.
Why can’t they just be transparent with us. If the sources aren’t confidential and open to the public why not show where they get numbers. If there are no sources at least explain the reasoning. I’m still frustrated about the LMUR getting the highest AoA in the game but there are no sources on it while NATO FnF missiles have sources but no fix yet.

I think the issue is the calculations involved in realistically modeling ERA would likely cause the servers to meltdown, they already struggle with volumetric I can’t imagine them handling the variables in a realistic ERA simulation very well. Not that I’m against better modeling but I suspect it’s one of those thing that sounds like a good idea until it’s implemented, then it turns out to cause more problems than it solves
First of all armor is completely wrong.
It has worse protection values than 1990’s armored version that was tested during Swedish Trails.
Second, mobility: 2A7V should have the same acceleration that 2A4 has, that was the whole point of decreased top speed because transmission was modified to match acceleration.
Third, the shell: L55/A1 cannot fire current base DM53 shell.
Fourth: It should have tracking system for air targets to utilize its multipurpose HE fully.

We don’t even know if the ERA block was emptyed before the tanks was abandoned… after all 99% of the “destroyed” T-90M’s in 2022/early 2023 ware scuttled and abandoned, by the russian army.

Like I’ve said before, the image was for a joke. Plus, why would the tanks be scuttled that easily? If the tank is so great, why would the crew leave it? You barely see ANY abandoned Western tanks in Ukraine. It really isn’t a great look. Also, off topic a bit, why is the BMPT even better than what Russian propaganda said? Like, it’s so horribly propagandized to the point where you reconsider why you even want to play modern tanks if you encounter it. I can already tell some of you will say “Skill Issue!!! Aim for the lower plate!!!” Yes, well, I know that, but it’s hard to do so when you have either: Your cannon barrel getting obliterated, your tank sight getting blocked, or you’re getting shot at by 4 rockets; plus the side of the BMPT has very dodgy ERA - Sometimes you pen it with APFSDS completely fin,e but other times it just absorbs it.

It’s a rage-bait.
When a tanks is damaged and cant be recovered (due to being imposible/not cost-effective), for example in a enemy-controled territory or in soon to be overrun territory etc etc… tanks/IFV’s and others a sctuttled and destroyed in order to not get captured by the enemy.
US did it in the firts Gulf war.
Rofl… All of them are abandoned. “… the (incert wester armored vechicle) was hit by a mine/FPV drone, but the crew survived and abandoned the vechicle…” Isn’t the usual narrative.
