It isnt new to anyone that russian tanks have a very broken damage model despite being a tank with very confined space. almost every pen should ignite the ammo, as we can see in real life footage.
Gaijin have bother to change relikt armour pen values in the same moment they added M829A3 (and btw they launched the update with A3 not spalling lol), but they dont even talk about how this thing overperforms. Its crazy when things like that happen.
Relikt + broken damage model is the reason why russia is the most played nation for a very while. No other nation is so forgiving while being able to easily lol pen and disable everyone else. These things need a FIX!!
