T-55A is mid, M60 AOS has way better APDS with better angle performance while it has way better reload.
had a hard time against M60 AOS in hull down position.

from my experiences playing most of nations.
most my wins was playing with USSR top tier.
and i the armor is great i don’t die that easily while using T-90m / T-80 also rounds are great one shot most of the time and sometime i got shot in ammo and don’t die even they are red.
Yes other nation have good tanks / Germany / Sweden but USSR still the best from my experiences.
all nations have same issue with premiums it’s really bad experience because it’s the main causes of losing matchs.

Abrams can survive a shot on the LFP, even if it gets inmobilized.
T-90M can’t, it explodes instantly.
The bullet can or not, depends on luck aswell
the only thing Russia has and that nobody can deny it’s OP are aircrafts/helis.
Kh-38MT is the best AGM ingame + Mi-28NM with LMURs/Ka-52 with great survivability and maneuverability.

Yes when equipped with better armor, the TTK will be much better, and this is the advantage of Russian tanks
My opinion on Russian MBT is that they are trash but also often have the Gaijin Magic work for them with their ERA and non exploding Ammo/Autoloader which can suck quite a bit.
But compared to NATO MBTs? Russian and Chinese MBT are worst.
Sure NATO MBT have issues too but they are still much superior in like…everything

prior to BVM addition i may agree, but after BVM, MiG-27K, Kh-38MT and LMURS…
Since BVM got added, russia have never fell bad until gaijin added some top tier premium to them. and even before the BVM, gaijin added kamovs with overpoerforming Vihkirs and no SP spawn required. Do you remmember that in 2019? It was totally impossible to play top tiers bcs the entire enemy team was KA-50. And after that it was their OP giant rocket (on Mi-28 and KA-52) that thx god got nerfed.

Gaijin Magic works for all vehicles ingame.
u can be playing a Leopard 2A7V and when u get hit in ur cannon, everything inside explodes cuz somehow the sharpnel made it through the cannon, breech and finally annihilated ur 3 crew members in the turret. or u can be playing in ur KV-1, u get hit in the engine’s part with a shot that came from above (ricochet in the ground) and somehow the explosion killed ur 3 crew members (happened to me once ;c).

it isnt, after alot of planes getting spice 250’s(which are better than KH38’s imo), the only strong thing USSR has is the MI-28NM with the broken DIRCM that can somehow deflect missiles like IRS-T and AIM-9X block 2 that are made to be anti DIRCM and the LIMURS which are great at killing tanks like:
