the main reason of why Russia has way better WR than any other nation is
- cuz NATO players don’t know how to aim
- cuz their jets/helis are extremely good, which doesn’t mean russian tanks are good cuz we’re talking about flying vehicles.

Prior to the introduction of the BMPT, Russia’s winrates were extremely poor for years and years, dating all the way back to the first implementation of the T-72AV and BMP-2M (2020).
So that’s around 6 years by this point. Both Thunderskill and Statshark indicate this to be true.
Here are the winrates from Russia from the past 12 months, specifically the BR’s relevant to the BMPT:
Keep in mind that these stats include the winrates from the past 2 months of BMPT domination as well, if we exclude those two most recent months the winrates would drop significantly further still.
As for that video clip:
That’s just the nature of how War Thunder and the way they model armour works, every tank has pixel weakspots and just because someone happened to strike the pixel weakspot via sheer luck doesn’t mean everything can magically penetrate the entire UFP.
That goes for the M1 as well as the T-80BVM shown.
