I cant get it to lock target properly through the new UI, so i personally dont find the new UI THAT helpful like on SLM for example.
On top of that you kinda need to lead the missile, which, to my knowledge cant be done through the new UI.

Both of these are absolutely miserable to play.
Strela cant even kill helis, or people with standoff weapons, and osa has a handcranked turret and is a giant bus that is just a chicken dinner on wheels for ground units.
2s6 is the best SPAA in the entire game besides IRIST if we are going off BR for BR and its not even close, how you think something with no passive detection, like 4km range, no way to defend itself, and crap mobility is better than the 2s6 is … what? 2s6 has a good radar, is a gokart, has great guns and can roleplay as a light tank, the best missile in 10.x.

Probably due to players not knowing how to use them. Took me a while to get used to the Osa as well. But once I understood how the missile works, how and when to engage, its a beast. I use IRST search/lock instead of Radar as well, radar just warns the enemy its being targeted or I’m there.
I think M247 might take that crown.
My guess is that Osa has better missiles for longer range shots.
OSA is not good enough to warrant this, strela is good enough to warrant this but only if we get decompression.
Yea uta a bit bugged but u can just lock the plane manualy and then go to the radar screen and lunch
It used to be 9.3 because it also used to be useless and was buffed to be basically undodgeable… It did not move up because of anyones crying.
Strela is tough to balance properly due to the nature of it’s missiles, same goes for Type 81.
It’s pretty deadly in the 4-5km radius but when a plane can just keep out of that range while slinging off ordnance, Strela’s efficiency drops off of a cliff and goes from really good to really crap, really fast.
It’s almost like it has to curb stomp in some engagements because it gets curb stomped in return from certain aircraft.
2S6 was the best spaa before the Pantsir was release. Now killing planes beyond 10.0 br has become difficult.
They should stay where they are.
the 2S6 is even better than some 11.7 spaa imo. Having the versatility of both guns and missiles is a rare occurrence even among toptier spaa.
That thing is keeping cas at bay at 10.7 when its spawned, especially compared to the AA other nations have around that br.
gl playing a heli or a plane with only gbu’s when a 2S6 is up, god forbid your plane has only rockets.
If only it was spawned alot more than it is now, 10.7 would be a closed airspace

ive had rolands shoot down mavericks.
The 2S6 has guns to even back it up more so.
But you aren’t able to counter the plane at all.
Your only play there is trying to destroy missiles launched from 8-10km away before they slap you in the head.
And then it got a photo contrast seeker which ignores flares, works in night battles, and sees through clouds.
Doesnt mean they should be undertiered.
For real tho.
God knows why people underestimate the ability of having guns on top of missiles to fallback onto, be it intercepting A2G ordnance or covering deadzones all missile only SPAAs have, which is all the more important on maps without clear sightlines, ie. city maps.
Cant count the number of times i was helplesly watching some heli with autocannon wreck our team on city map because he popped over the horizon within my missile SPAA deadzone.
It’s nice to have for sure, but shooting mavericks and stuff with guns is unreliable at best.
