Russian MBTs: Firepower and Protection versus NATO counterparts

5s not 7.1s

i would say from gaming perspective RUS tanks should not have even faster reload speed, they already op. They at least cannot go beyond 6s, But CN tanks actually deserve faster, 5s would be a proper reload time since its poor protection.
From realistic perspective, according to the published data and videos, CN MBTs reload is around 5.1s to 5.3s in normal mode, and there’s no any data shows that it’s reload time last for longer than 7s at all, while it still have much better armor than in the current game. However RUS MBT’s reload time is about 6s, 4s in fast mode. Also just remind the NERA of T-90M is stuck in machine gun with a part that does not exist.

Pretty sure there’s internal bug report about MZ reload times already.
If you need them just dm me, it will take me some time to get through all the manuals tho.

That’s why it’s the only vehicle to not use a conventional style of liner on the interior of the vehicle, right?

I assume the Challenger 2 uses them as well, seeing how it was integrated in Chobham armor too.

it doesnt matter, reload rate is a balance mechanic of gajin
doesnt matter what the real real load rate is,
its one of the few things they openly state they use for balancing

A T-80 BVM can penetrate the upper front plate of a Leopard 2A5 (A6, PSO and A7V[?])
A Leopard 2A7V can not penetrate the upper front plate of a T-80BVM and NO this is not because of the ERA… even if you destroy that the Leopard can not penetrate the T-80 or T-90 or whatever

So no I dont think western tanks outperform russian tanks… I think its quite the opposite

When you are on fire in a western tank (without autoloader) you cannot reload your gun
Russian tanks (or tanks with autoloaders) can still reload

Also western tanks only reload faster with ace crew and reload much slower without loader (loader got injured)
Russian tanks dont have that issue… they reload fast no matter what

Chobham has the same liner specifically to keep its ceramic’s composure after hits.

It isn’t a spall reducer.

Except the Abrams has a spall liner inside the armor, maybe it was a domestic addition, but I doubt that.

Have you tried aiming for weakspots?

It is because of the ERA.

Its funny you left out the part where I wrote “upper front plate”

Yes I have tried aiming for weakspots and it works
It is still easier to just “shoot anywhere” to destroy an enemy tank wouldn’t you agree?

No it is not because of ERA I have tested it

i really really doubt this is a thing unless you have documents explicitly talking about this

I’ve heard a rumor it can be “overclocked” but when switching directly from APFSDS, the round is simply the next one over, the ejected casing stud is held by an arm, when the load arm fills with hydraulic fluid to extend, the extends and loads the round, then drops the casing stud into that position the loaded round came from, then recedes to the bottom of the hull. I’d say 5.6 is pretty realist as of in game right now though.

If this helps explain some of it:

If we would start to add overclocked autoloaders then you better be ready for some major rebalancing. The Type-10 can fire every ~1.5 seconds, the Leclerc every ~2.2 seconds and the Strv 103 every ~1.2 seconds when overclocked IIRC. It would be better not to open that can of worms.

2.8 on the 103

Shameless plug:

Yeah if we discuss “over clocked” autoloaders, any argument about lap loading is far out the window 🤣

Ever think that would happen if western tanks like real life counterparts?
You should considering as lucky that L27A1 and DM53 don’t have anti ERA in the game (which it had irl)

Super incorrect. Leo2a7V, Leo2a7U, and the Sweden Strv 121B+ are by far the most survivable tanks.

This should be included in Gaijin game roadmap. @Smin1080p_WT

there is already an example in the game: type 10
