I’m getting sick of this, any game about +10.3 is unbalanced af. Wtf is Gaijin doing about that ?

I’m asking 1 question here : why is Spikes/MMPs top down approach/dmg model broken ? Why is Bradley TOW-2B top down approach/dmg model broken ? Why is AH-64E JAGMs top down approach/dmg model broken ?

Why is bushmaster rate of fire/dmg model bad af ?

Why do tandem ATGMs sometimes get eaten by ERAs instead of getting through ?

No wonder NATO is loosing hard at top tier, every single each of their special technology is either bugged or nerfed-to-the-ground

Well, i ve just uninstsalled the game.
If they think they can own and abuse me as cannon fodder by addiction and do what they want i d just change my pusher. Thers plenty of other games and developers which treat thier comuninty well, Gajin is definatly not one of those and to keep my sanity i might come back in a year or so and see. i doubt they will change anything for long and just keep repeating it like they do since yrs already. After 12 yrs i recognize the pattern…

I don’t really see what Gaijin would gain from intentionally having Russian bias. Historically, the United States and its allies dominated in both World War I and World War II. Beyond that, they effectively outpaced and contributed to the collapse of the Soviet Union through economic pressure and political influence. Even today, Russia struggles to maintain the image of a true superpower and realistically, without nuclear weapons, that status is questionable.

If anything, Russia’s actions have strengthened NATO. The war in Ukraine pushed previously neutral countries like Sweden and Finland into joining, which is the opposite of what you’d expect if Russia were strategically dominant. The situation comes across more like someone lacking self-awareness, pushing others away and then not understanding why they’re isolated.

If Gaijin were actually trying to push a “Russian superiority” narrative through a game, it wouldn’t really prove anything meaningful. And from my experience at top tier (12.7), NATO consistently steamrolls USSR lineups more often than not. Even with strong vehicles like the BMPT or Pantsir and various SU-series aircraft and tanks, the overall performance still feels subpar at best without the right people using it.

If Gaijin truly had a strong Russian bias, they likely would have stayed based in Russia and operated more like other sanctioned developers, such as Battlestate Games (Escape from Tarkov, which got replaced by Arc Raiders in my opinion). Instead, what I see isn’t bias but it’s poor balance management across nations in War Thunder.

At the end of the day, vehicle strength comes down more to how players use them. For example, I still think an aced Abrams is one of the strongest tanks in the game at 12.7 but that’s heavily dependent on player skill, not just stats people grab from statshark and thunderskill.

I always thought that the “WT is a propaganda machine” argument is wild.
Games in general are a pretty niche market and WT is just a drop in the bucket.

General population doesn’t really care about any of this.

It’s my 8th loss in a row of the day against 12.7 GRB Russia.

Game’s unbalanced af, if Gaijin doesn’t do anything they’ll end up with RU vs RU team at top tier. It is unbearable to play top tier NATO side, you loose every game

Fun fact, yesterday, I was teamed up with Russia 3 times, and at the very beginning of the game when I first spawned, I said in global chat : “I say it rn : Russia is gonna win, because WT is an unbalanced game giving the absolute bias to RU at top tier”.

Guess who won at the end of those 3 games ? :)

You postet a single screenshot of a single match with 10 kills and 1 of it was a BMPT vs lists of almost hundreds of games that proves russian bias and put the “player skill” into the bucket and everything is magicly balanced? Of course there is the fact NATO players leave after 1 or 2 death while russian keep spawning but the reason is the frustrating engagements where you side shot the weakspots of a T80/90 and nothing happens despite the hitcam shows you hit the warheads or a BMPT is in front of you and while you have to properly aim the bmpt literally just needs to look in your direction and press the mousebutton while spraying a salvo of projectiles in the direction of your turret and cripples you instant, making you from a attacker to a defenseless target. I my self leave VERY often a match after 4 minutes when i died due this. This has nothing to do with playerskills!
If you could provide at least the same amount of collected data as the other player was putting a lot of effort into to prove a point we can discuss skill. But coming now with political statemnets which are biased by itself due western propaganda ignoring the fact that Ukraine allegedly would win within a year with NATO support and yet after 5 yrs they re grabbing old man from the groceries by force is truly some brain gymnastics…

At 12.7 the bmpt is annoying at 11.7 and under the bmpt is still broken. The problem isn’t russia the problem I see is they have the bmpt and the sm-sv which has made top tier not enjoyable. However, even with those broken tanks russia does make much of a difference at 12.7 but its ungoldy at 11.7 or under.

I would say just go look at winrates per nation. Currently russia at 11 is obviously broken but that’s it. At 12.7 the new uneeded spaa us a dread for CAS players

yea u r right about the BMPT and the SPAA but there is that RNG code towards russia on top. i cant prove it but i know theyre rigging the game with codes and algorythms. I explained it already with my expirience: When i unlocked the Namer and Namer Thriskon 3 out of 4 SPIKE LR did kill stuff all over the place for about 20 matches then the Spike as crap as everyone says. Iwas wondering why people complain and after about 20 mathces till today they re truly crap. same with my Leo 2A7HU from Italy: I literally one shotted anything, i didnt even aim anywhere specific.
Same i had years ago with the HSTVL. Or after a long break, aprox first 20 matches are towards me or balanced and then some code kicks in.
Its like algorythms in the backgrounds pulls you down at a certain point and the same code is permanently enabled towards russian tanks. IMO theyre not just made OP (Pantsirs, BMPTs) theyre very often Controlled-RNG pretected…

Brother you need to take a break from the game. I would recommend you play USA Naval when you’re stressed like me and then get back to GRB. Maybe there’s some truth to it maybe they favor people who spend a lot of money (I have spent a lot since this is my only favorite game) but I say 100% BMPT is broken and needs to be removed and SM-SV needs a major nerf.

I ve grinded russia 5 or 6 yrs ago up to the top tier before the T90 was out and i stopped playing it ever since because i dont like most of thier tanks from the esthetics and it doesnt fit my playstyle. i unlocked the pantsir but never bought it till today because back then the BIAS was already there and i d rather play skilled NATO and loose more than winning by default. Until now, constantly loosing isnt fun especially if you know you dint loose because theyre better players insteat because the get the coded advantage. I ve been in a russian clan so i know they love armor and firepower and hate “sneaky players” ambushing them with IFVs and thats what i love to do lol.

Are you acting like the 100-200 games you and SadRIPer provided is a good sample size?

My guy, there are hundred of thousands or likely even millions of games played each month, your 100-200 games is less than 0.1% of all games played. So a meaningless sample size.

You know election polling is done on a fraction of a percent of all voters and yet is quite accurate.

At a minimum all that is needed is about 30 or so to have a relevant sample, though of course the more the better.

You do have a good point overall. I guess in this case my problem is more with the fact that these 100-200 games come from only 2-4 players, which can screw with the data due to a number of variables.

The data should be fine, if anything it limits (in a statistical sense) how powerful the observations is, and the type of claims that should be made (that are supported by the gathered dataset).

But based on what has been said by Gaijin is that they balance (by skewing the matchmaker itself, map sidedness and constituent team basis)on population, not nation by Nation to achieve a net 50% win rate globally as best as possible.

As such a skewed map and to some degree powerful nations / vehicles are required to make things work more smoothly permitting the matchmaker to be less obvious than it is.

Which is why a symptom of overpowered vehicles is the deployment of mixed matchmaking of a Matches to permit the possibility of accounting for this by matching a nation against itself (and thus permitting the shuffling of the target squad / player onto a team with those worse off and a map & side that is least likely to win).

You have to realize that even slight edges account massively for felt disturbances in balance over time. and that the 50% rate is the basis for the meta-economy and progression is balanced around. and why basically all activities have diminishing returns in terms of RP & SL

Except that is exactly what SadRIPer does? And why I go against his claims.

According to him, him having a low winrate over 100-200 games with top tier NATO means that everyone playing NATO experiences the same low winrate.
