Just like in your video i spesifically aim to the empty zone and managed to detonate at least one shell, meanwhile you did the same thing and claimed shooting empty zone doesn’t detonate ammo that is protected by plate.
Of course its not gonna detonate if you dont aim towards to plate you smart guy.
Oh look, suddenly if you aim towards to plate it actually doesnt protect the ammo and detonates, how shocking…
I suggest stop looking into mirror while talking to other people buddy.
Actually, T-90M autoloader produces spall, unlike other autoloaders in this game. Watch the hitcam.
As for his shot, he just shot too low, it went under the ammo. Gg go next.
Also what you’re describing does not work hundred percent, there were a lot of times i got shot and my autoloader ate the entire shell while i was playing T-90M, same also happened when i shot it.
Spalling went to carousel and actually splashed towards to shells which was more than enough to detonate the ammo.
Anyway this situation has nothing to do the with bias but rather how spalling works and how autoloaders soaks the damage.
It is a double edged sword. If a round hits autoloader armor plate without being heavily destabilized and degraded by Relikt/side armor/spall liner, it will nuke the ammo with spalling. But if the round is heavily degraded by the mentioned, it can stop at the armor plate, only destroying the autoloader.
From my understanding the spalling was stopped by the autoloader armor, and the dart just skimmed on the tank’s floor.
I think Russian bias exists in the sense that they are buffed by Gaijin in their attempt to keep them meta, since they’re quickly running out of options in all trees for additions. So they have to be artificially buffed since statistically and mechanically speaking T-series tanks aren’t very good in War Thunder.
For example, Relikt jank has been happening for years and Relikt continues to get buffed. I guarantee that if France or Britain designed Relikt it would be underperforming and Gaijin would do their best to stop it’s bugginess.
Oh no I agree, I’m saying that things like Relikt are only still janky because that’s really all the T-series have going for them at top tier.
Any other nation would have had Relikt nerfed into uselessness years ago.
And as the other user pointed out, they are buffed in every other area for top tier lineups. Russia completely dominated SPAA for 2 years with the Pantsir, for example.
Not to mention the double standard for acceptable sources. Gaijin nickel-and-dimes every single NATO source and doesn’t make ANY educated guesses, but goes and adds fake missiles to Russia. You might point out that an educated guess is what introduced the Kh-38MT, and I’d agree. The current standard is kinda poor at allowing things to get changed the way they should, and Gaijin sticks to that for NATO, but not for Russia.
Ultimately Gaijin is a business and Russia is an incredibly popular nation to play. Russia is in a bad situation when it comes to growth potential for top tier and, to increase revenue, Russia has to be meta. I’m just saying that that is what Russian bias is.
Other tanks do have ERA, and guess what Puma and its VJTF version are covered in it. Does it work? Nope. Also yet again like everyone else does I can bring up the BMPT and how its dumb rockets somehow beat more modern Spike-LR II’s, also shooting the ATGM launcher would kill you but not the BMPT apparently, so, y’know.
It really depends if they didn’t use all their rockets. It’s also not a guarantee kill the BMPT will die instantly like the 72 where 2 crew are at the base of the turret.
To be frank, spike 2’s are the most skilless mechanic in war thunder. If they worked effectively everytime they’re launched why would anyone play tanks. It’s already bad enough there’s too many FnF missiles the last thing this game needs is 100% kill spikes.
The “dumb” atgm requires targeting and some skill vs commanders sight behind a hill and shooting spikes all day at enemy pixels.
I mean yeah helis especially the ldircm ones are pretty bad atm. their implementation is bad, they are incredibly annoying to deal with, they can wipe the whole battlefield forcing everyone to never move in the open which on some maps is absolutely not possible.
I love playing helis, but top tier just turned into mass slinging stuff to try to everwhelm spaa and make enemies leave the match asap. I get that thats just how it is with those insanely powerful weapon systems but man. Its just way too unreliable. Some nations cant do anything to fight helis. Not in their top spaa, and some not even with any other spaa.
It is a bit problematic though, that the only nation atm where flying helis against in top tier is basically pointless and incredibly dangerous is Russia. Even if you manage to launch out of a pantsir SM-SVs sight youre jsut giving him free SP as the only spaa that can take down ordinance of that volume repeatedly. If you pop up thinking that 5-6 km is rather safe to react, and trying to give your own missiles less flight time and better hit probability youre wrong oh dear. You got 2 seconds to react to a pantsir establishing a sightline anywhere. Thats not enough no matter how careful you are. poof 600 SP gone. While for several other nations its basically pointless to launch at a heli thats simply hovering with their top tier spaa, and they get 12 missiles, in total, to intercept potentially 16 jagms of only one salvo. Then one reload with ammo box, even if every single one hits, you dont have the missiles to intercept 1,5 flyouts of an ah64 that only has to land, rearm for 9 seconds and launch a full volley again.
For how annoying and strong helis can theoretically be, the SP costs dont justify their average K/D. And i think thats a bit of a problem. But not if youre playing russia, ofc xD
Also something seems to be incredibly broken with IR locking of agms like LMURS and JAGMs lately. Multiple times each day i cant lock vehicles sitting fully in the open which resulted in me getting killed, but locking tanks behind trees or fully hull down with only the turret mounted mg visible is lots of time no problem at all. Just the endless circle of royal fkuppery…
See, that reasoning would’ve worked if guided munitions weren’t on half the vehicles on high and top tier, like laser guided bombs and/or Mavericks and their variants/clones.
Also you can do a lot more than artificially and so obviously nerf Spike’s effectiveness. Right now it’s so obvious that they’re artificially nerfed: its targeting doesn’t work half the time and hits wherever instead of the roof like Javelin ATGMs do.
“Why play tanks?” for the simple reason of: you still require a lock and direct line of sight before launch, and you are made of cardboard compared to the tank having more armor, it’s a tank, and in case of USSR/Russia also a lot of ERA specifically to deflect ATGMs. The BMPT itself has so much ERA it is impossible to pen from the front, and usually it doesn’t show you anything but their turret.
Case in point, watched a youtuber launch 16 of them from their heli, and describe it as “fire and forget… forget that you even fired them”
