Russian Bias in 2026?

oky it might not be egg cartons but it is cardboard which is the point i was making

Watch at least a minute of the video, they are ERA spacers, if they had no explosive elements to put inside these bags they wouldn’t put them on the side in the first place

because as it stands right now they’ve blatantly told people that reports are not enough information, there have been mods seeking classified documents. as well as claiming reports directly from specific nations Armies are in fact marketing lies.

they claim L27 can’t get through a T80U hull as it can’t in game .which is ridiculous as IRL it has been fired through a t80U with ERA xD

The sepV3 report was shut after 30 minutes, which is literally impossible to read the volume of content whcih was inside it, let alone to understand it and comprehend it.

RedEffect was the chap who put out a (rather poorly timed) video ahead of 2022 telling everyone why top-attack and Javelin wouldn’t work on Russian tanks.

Russian Youtube channel explaining the Javlin would not actually work against modern Russian tanks because ERA mostly defeats the tandem charge anyway, and it wouldn’t hit the roof anyhow because the YTer confused direct attack footage with top attack footage : r/NonCredibleDefense

So…yeah. He has form for some interesting takes that aren’t necessarily rooted in reality.

I guess the effect of ERA is just videogame propaganda. Thats the conclusion you might draw when you follow a certain conflict and its abundance of battlefield media. Modern ATMs and even very old KE rods (like DM23) don’t seem to have alot issues. Also small FPV drones with even smaller shaped charge grenades seem to be effective, when they hit the ERA blocks ontop of the turret. While ingame BlueFor munitions can’t do that (like ingame top down missiles).

Nor should you use a youtuber with previous technical inaccuracies as an authority on modern classified armour arrays?

See the way it works both ways?

He has definitely had some rather odd takes and statements in the past, that’s why he revises these videos and admits his mistakes and some outright lies in the past and corrects them later. One odd situation like this isn’t something to go off of, and if you don’t like him, you can always look up information yourself if you believe it’s egg cartons

you can literally see under the challenger video i watched the full thing, and it was 20 minutes of misinformation and stupidity

red affect is wrong about 90% of the things he says but of course your gonna eat it all up pretend everyone else is wrong even when the photo clearly shows it is literaally just cardboard

I did not do this? Everyone knows the “array” of this bagged ERA is simply the elements and spacers on top of each other

I didn’t say I think it’s egg cartons.

I would question how effective they have been in a certain conflict we shall not mention. However I have no more knowledge of the precise construction of the things than 99.9% of the internet.

It’s plastic, cardboard is not a good material to use for spacing ERA

Understandable, I was referring to what Rzi believed, should have specified

okay, so its plastic either way the era didnt seem to be inserted only the spacers

Most likely explanation is the lack of elements on another tank, so these ones in the bags (on an abandoned tank) were cannibalized for other tanks that are still operable

oh so now were just guessing based off absolutely nothing? cool.
