The problem with people is that they’re convinced of something, but they can’t actually prove it.
So when a tank/shell/etc. appears in the game and doesn’t meet their expectations, they won’t be able to prove it wrong and will claim they were deceived.
In asking questions here, I also realized there are no sources that would allow to judge the effectiveness of the 829A3/4 and DM53 as they imagine.
The DM53 has been in the game for many years, but it doesn’t ignore the ERA. No one has been able to prove otherwise with reliable sources.
I literally calculated the shell’s penetration based on the LO and got an unsatisfactory result.
Where’s the faith here?

RHM stated outright DM53/63 defeat “Double-action Heavy ERA”. There’s only two ways to interpret it, either flyer plate + explosion ERA, or double flyer-plate ERA - i’d wager the first, since that’s exactly what Kontakt-5 is, and what RHM has had worked on, as they have had Kontakt-5 ever since 1987’ish.

DM53 works the same way Tandem-ATGMs do. Take their performance, apply it to DM53. Simple, right? Or maybe you can’t comprehend it?

How is this relevant? Gaijin was planning to make it “anti-ERA”, but the Russian forum cried and that was thrown out the window, we have datamines from 2020 showing the code was in the game for it lol
Literally the only reason why we don’t have ANY anti-ERA, was because the Russian players (both on the ENG and RUS forums) cried bloody tears back before New Power went live, for it to be removed. Otherwise Gaijin would likely do vastly more research into the topic, and we’d have answers that don’t require certain people to leak things.

T80U-E1 has more effective armour VS kinetic penetrators than the damn Oplot lol.

Which is why if you look. chinese Oplot squadron has worse overall stats VS the TT version from the Japanese tree.

Indeed he is, over on the RU forum. A tech moderator in fact, so when a bug report is closed for anything, be mindful, he could be the culprit.

It’s a bit weird because the Russian Forum and this Forum seem to operate in different circles. There is plenty of overlap but pinging Smin or whoever would probably not have the slightest bit of impact on a Mod ‘the other side of the hill.’
I mean if you have private messages from him trying to goad out classified information then that quite literally should be public.

I can however add, is that over on the RU forums, they have ZERO ISSUES with posting things/data from still classified Western manuals - for example, they use the 2A6NL manual pages openely, even with moderators in the chat (Ralin was there for it, in fact, and he did nothing to punish anyone, as he takes part in it).

Lol yeah it is, I kill T-84s with the 30mm Boxer before they they can react, I usually die to T-80Us because muh damage model.
Vs MBTs, the T-84 is vastly worse due to its armor, vs lights, also.
