Russian Bias in 2026?

Recently grinded to the top 10.7 Abrams. When does Russian stomping supposed to start?

It is designed to stop the round if the round overmatches the armour the destabilising effect will not take effect to the level we have in game.

Some wobble sure rotating near 45 degrees is just fantasy. We also seem to have just universal angles. does not matter which oblique ERA is hit it gives maximum possible protection again something it should not do. Gaijin had ERA modelled fine with K1 and K5 then they added Relikt gave it some weird code and Tandem warhead munitions cannot defeat it and darts are absorbed.

It is not close to how we have all witnessed it’s lacklustre IRL performance.

Tandems dont work at all in this game, k1 and k5 can do the same shit just less often and so do fuel tanks

But they used to until Gaijin messed with the ERA code.

I was promptly killed by an SU-24 after taking this screenshot

I respawned in an ADATS - was then killed by an SU-30

I still think the main reason the win rates are so messed up atm is the BMPT, they’re such a distraction even if they’re not killing everything, that matches are constantly ending up like this

This is one of the main issues with the implementation of war thunder’s ERA.
From most scientific research articles there are two major factors that reduce the effectiveness.
Angle
Area away from center of ERA block

Neither seem to be implemented.

And which nation exclusively uses ERA because they need to supplement their 80s level armour arrays…

Yeah exactly

Western tanks are pretty much the exact same? They just use add on composite instead.

Round being skewed is called destabilization, and is what happened to the rounds in the videos. Since spalling is based on residual penetration, a destabilized round with less penetration will… do less damage…

It reduces the effectiveness of ERA in game. Easy to check with t-80u ufp.

No they upgrade the glacis plate and armour. T-90M and T-72B3 use a T-72 (89) as the base hull they then equip the Relikt ERA. As proven by destroyed T-90M tanks that have been inspected

These are just 2 examples, theres more.

My friend War Thunder is not a good source. War Thunder thinks the M1A2 never upgraded its hull armour with decades of service.

War Thunder select which parts of realism they like and as we have moved into current day they do not have accurate sources.

We have statements from MoD “CR2 additional side armour is immune to 30mm autocannons”
Gaijin give the armour 30mm kinetic protection…

unless those at 12.7 are completely different to those at ~10.0, DEFINITELY NOT X)

It shouldn’t reduce it should effectively nullify the protection against KE/sabot IIRC

this happens with NATO stuff too.

Not even WT. This is just common knowledge. In terms of armor, Strv 122 is just add on from 2A6, both being C-Tech under the add on.
2A7V is actually D-Tech, so mb on that.
Merk Mk.4 armor is also add on, so go figure.

Any of you Russian Bias believers want to buy a KV-8 for $500 in 6 days? I’m looking to make some coin to get something useful

This tank is indestructible with Stalinium built right into it, you will cap, destroy and devour all other tanks simply cause it’s russian.

EDIT: DM me if you’re interested get it before they hit object and is7 levels.

Technically it’s real because it’s a modular missile system which means the only difference between an MT and an ML is swapping out its laser seeker head for an IIR seeker

that’s why the X-38MT/ML also uncannily resembles the Grom-1E and Grom-2 bombs

I’m pretty sure that the MT is not as used as the ML because the IIR seeker head far more expensive but doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

The point is though, the MT seeker has yet to be fully confirmed to have ever been built, with only mockups being seen, let alone actually equipped to a missile. Meanwhile Gaijin denied the possiblity of Spear-Glide for the Typhoon because despite Primary sources stating that every part has been built and tested, they wont add it because its not been seen fully assembled and test fired. So there is some major double standards going on there.

But if Mockups of a seeker is good enough… Then Typhoon (missiles) should be added, ASRAAMs with a HEAT warhead meant for A2G.

Finally, KH-38MTs remain some of the strongest FnF weapons in-game by quite a notable margin, especailly as they dont have to fight soviet SPAA usually (unless its Japan’s Su-30) and they were added waaaaaay too early and dominated for a very long time. Meanwhile even basic equivalents, such as SAL-Brimstone 2s have not been added. Another set of very annoying double standards. (heck their entire “why we wont add FnF Brimstones” post was hilariousily hypocritical when you consider the Su-34 with 6x KH-38MTs were added in the same update)
