Even if you actively try to evade on open sky its not easy.
The only effective way to survive against SM-SV is either hide behind terrain or just stay away from battlefield at all.
Pulling to the side so you are perpendicular to it helps very much with dodging it, as sometime the shrapnell decides to to the Gaijin special and you survive.
Tho it is only sometimes, it is by no means a reliable tactic, you will die trying to dodge it.
Oh yeah if youre not anywhere near hard cover youre toast but i meant more like its quite easy to evade depending on the map if you can just fly fast behind cover. But as soon as you need to show yourself to, for example, fire a couple of Spices things get dicy very quickly.
I stated the round is worse overall which it is. That was all.
I’ve also mentioned other chinese MBTs but specifically for the WZ alone it has higher pen of course. As I stated above.

There are players like this, but they only made up of the 0.1% players populations lol there is a few here who has those number, which indicating that they could indeed carry most of the matches. First obvious thing you see is the extremely high kill per spawn on average, like having 500 matches on the Abrams and statshark says he average killed 4-5 enemy per spawn and maintaining 80% winning rate. (what does it mean? if he goes one match without any kill, expect him to have 10 kills the next match to maintain that KPS, and you only find purple tags on their page). This win rate is simply not possible for someone with 1kd, because 1kd is extremely easy to achieve by holding W to the objective point like headless chicken/zombie. Funny how a lot of players with 1kd thinks they are some kind of MVP having 4 kills 4 deaths in a match, like they completely forgot that their 4 deaths on average also donates a lot sp to the enemy team to respawn and drain the team’s tickets, so if you have 2-3 players in your team that go 5 kills 5 deaths, then expect to hear the nuke siren and check the score board to see the nuke plane isn’t from your team.
I love BRs where you can actually influence that.
Gimbal won’t be an issue if they implement datalink, so the Raptor doesn’t have to depend on it’s own radar to acquire and lock targets.
If Gaijin keeps the game the way it is, with most fights being medium range range HOBS Fox-3 spam, then the better Gimbal will definitely help.
This is true, but we’ll likely have better missiles by the time 5th gens come out.

The main one I had in mind was the later model 9Xs. Don’t those things have a stupidly high effective range?
true, even early 9x max range is probably ~50km or so, given that 9m is ~30km and 9x has much less drag
and should probably have ~20km effective range

Then yeah, I could totally see a meta where you abuse your stealth to get behind/above people and rain 9Xs down on them.

They have less range than r73s do. Late amraam models are up to gaijin if they will pull more but regardless they are nowhere near r77 ranges.
F22 could be added now if they have everyone else better missiles and su35 where applicable

I don’t think R-74 can outrange the 9X, to my understanding the R-74 is just a 73 made by a different company.
I don’t know if any R-73/74 variants even get and upgraded motor, but someone like @kizvy or @GitGood most likely does.
Well, after comparing info sources a while ago with kizvy, there is no R-74 missile, only R-74M and M2 aka RVV-MD and MD2 in export.
MD2 is said to have longer but time for its motor. Can’t say anything about MD for now

I remember reading a while ago 74M had a higher gimbal limit and that 74M2 had a lower RCS for the Su-57, not sure how accurate that is.
74M has a gimbal increase, and a new dual-band seeker head. M2 has smaller fins to fit Su-57 side bays, has IOG and DL as well on top of dual band seeker
