Funnily enough didn’t really consider watching just a normal video of a guy playing the thing, I’ll check it out sometime. I did actually notice the MLD would wing rip at sea level on full throttle while playing Nuclear Thunder so yea i can definitely see that argument.
Also a more narrow gate width gives it sliightly better flare resistance, but it is negligible in most situations i will agree.
I also don’t know a whole lot about the acceleration of the missiles, but I believe 4 - 6 AIM7Fs to still be a fairly capable loadout too, their tracking is a little bugged though i do notice.
Will have to make my own judgement on it when i get my hands on the MLD I suppose, maybe I’ll get back to you someday lol.

I have no horse in the MLD vs F-4J race, but lets not pretend that BR placement is the holy grail.
Gaijin has shown time and time again that they are pretty disconnected from reality when it comes to BR placements, the J-15T and Su-30SM/MKM is only one of many examples for this.
Well it’s not about MLD or F-4J br. placement but about queston that if Phoenix missile can be easily dodged trough multipathing then why same thing could be said about R-27ER. Oh which he stated this.
And i asked if his opinion mattered so much why F-4J/S is on higher br. than MLD.
Funnly enough MKM is almost 500kg lighter than SM while having integrated MAW system.
The only downside is that MKM’s radar has half of the datalink capabilities that SM’s radar has (which doesnt matter much if you dont spam multiple missiles to anything on your radar).

The point was if one missile can completley dictate terms on game in which we say it’s OP (R-27ER) why we can’t say same thing about other missile (AIM-54) which allowed one team to completley forced one team to stay on low altitute in order to survive.
Don’t forget. The Pantsir SM-SV has AP-T belt. It can be used as a lolpenner DCA at top top tier as well. Another additionnal element to add to my very long list related to russian bias.
Which other NATO DCA can be used the same way at top top tier ? Gepard 1A2 maybe ? But it has trash missiles for this BR. Every other NATO DCA is either too slow/non-stabilized/has a worse radar/pens less/has few to none APDS in comparaison.
Keep in mind Russia already has the 2S6, easily usable at top top tier as a competitive DCA as well.
Again, another obvious advantage for Russia in this game. I regret I put so much $$$ in the US, if I knew how it was going to be regarding Russia
EDIT : Btw just learned SM-SV is capable of pening NATO MBTs side armors with its main missiles. 12 ready-to-fire missiles btw. Completely op
EDIT 2 : I counted 3 wins for Russia out of 4 games played. And they were not “hard wins”, they were easy wins if you watch the video. Russia wins large majority of top tier games

Personally whenever I got bored/angry by playing other nations I just simply switch to Russia, spawn in Pantsir SV-SM and enjoy my ice cold coke while listening my favorite music list.
Western MBTs, Abrams, Leopards are simply too squishy. Their side armor is too thin. Also sad Pantsirs drop MBTs with frontal shots/Sams.
When I’m in my Iris-T, I’m totally helpless against anything on the ground and this guy just consistently kills everything air and ground alike. They really need to make rus better than everyone else, every single time. As if BUK and the Pantsir truck wasn’t already enough.
You can also notice in the video that NATO side armor ERAs (SEP V2 for example) are basically useless against it. It can easily pen with main cannons and missiles.

Well opinion of the majority of players cosiders R-27ER as OP weapon and i was under this impression. Well if by your opinion R-27ER is not OP then there is no question left.
